Congratulations to our very own Congresswoman Gwen Moore on being reelected as the Democratic Nominee for the 4th Congressional District. Her leadership in congress is needed now more than ever to support working people and make life more affordable for us all. She has been a steady champion in protecting social security, expanding healthcare and childcare, and bringing millions of dollars back to Milwaukee. We are so proud of her and our caucus will always have her back!

Wisconsin made history last night by choosing David Crowley as the Democratic nominee for Governor.
Today we stand with David as he takes this historic victory into the general election. From growing up in one of the nation’s most incarcerated ZIP codes to serving as Milwaukee County Executive, David has shown what is possible through determination, leadership, and the will of the people.
Wisconsin Black Democrats are proud to stand with him. We know he can lead, govern, and deliver for working families across Wisconsin.
The primary is over and now the real work begins. We are organizing, knocking doors, mobilizing our communities, and turning out every vote between now and November!
We are ready to elect David Crowley as Governor and build a Democratic trifecta in Wisconsin! David Crowley

The Primary Election is this Tuesday August 11th! As a Black Caucus we are proud that all candidates for governor are supporting our Black Policy Agenda.
We cannot earn a Democratic Trifecta without the support of Black Wisconsinites, and it means nothing if we don’t deliver the results that meaningfully help change people’s lives. We hope that everyone gets the chance to look at each candidate for governor’s planned commitment to support our communities before you cast your ballot.

Ahead of tomorrow’s gubernatorial debate for the Democratic primary, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin Black Caucus is announcing their candidate certifications for the race with all candidates for governor supporting the caucus policy agenda. This platform was adopted by the membership of the caucus at the recent Democratic Party of Wisconsin State Convention following its introduction by the Legislative Black Caucus last February after their 2025 statewide tour.
“We cannot earn a Democratic Trifecta without the support of Black Wisconsinites, and it means nothing if we don’t deliver the results that meaningfully help change people’s lives.” Chair Nick Truog said in a statement. “This voter guide allows everyone voting in this primary to see each Democratic candidate for governor’s commitment to support our policy agenda and how they will utilize their full constitutional authority to fulfill it.”
The platform addresses seven key areas concerning the Black community: affording housing and protecting renters, education and literacy, economic opportunity, healthcare and mental health, criminal justice reform, democracy and civic engagement, and environmental and infrastructure needs. Chair Truog went on to emphasize that these policy priorities reflect the issues Wisconsinites across the state are facing. “While Tom Tiffany and Republicans prioritize dividing us based on our backgrounds, the Black Caucus is committed to uniting us. Yes, these issues disproportionately affect our community more, but when we collectively work to eliminate these disparities, it benefits everyone. This is the type of leadership Wisconsin needs in the Governor’s office.”
