The Rocking R Handyman

Out with the old, in with the energy-efficient! 🛠️🚪

We just finished a beautiful custom door replacement! The old French doors were worn out and drafty, so we measured and custom-ordered an identical set—but with a massive upgrade. The new doors feature modern insulation, built-in internal blinds, and top-tier energy efficiency to beat the heat.

The Rocking R Handyman LLC is proud to bring 30+ years of construction experience to our Magnolia neighbors.

Bringing a homeowner's vision to life! ✨
The best part of our work is listening to a client's ideas and turning them into reality. For this Magnolia project, the homeowner wanted to upgrade her standard hall bathroom from a plain painted wall to something truly special. We took her vision and installed a stunning textured subway tile backsplash all the way up to the lighting, exactly how she pictured it. The wavy finish gives the space the perfect custom, high-end look she was hoping for.

The Rocking R Handyman LLC is proud to bring 30+ years of construction experience to every job to make sure your project turns out exactly the way you want it.

A huge thank you to our neighbors for continually making us a Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave!

***From Structural Safety Hazards to a Custom Backyard Retreat***

When this client reached out about "a few rotten boards," we expected a simple repair. However, our inspection revealed a much deeper issue: the underlying joists were completely compromised.
Safety is our priority, but design is our passion. During the consultation, she mentioned a long-standing frustration—her steps led directly from the door to the deck, leaving no room to actually sit and relax.
The Solution: Our engineers designed a custom multi-level layout.
The Upper Tier: A cozy nook perfectly sized for a rocking chair and side table—the ultimate spot for evening breezes.
The Lower Tier: Functional space with full access to the tool shed and a custom gate designed for easy truck loading.

We love building decks, but we love listening to our customers even more.

Due to the recent storms, it's not surprising that a customer had a large tree branch fall and damage her hardie plank siding. We promptly went out to safely remove and replace the damaged siding and window trim, ensuring that the windows were not harmed in the process.
From our dear customer,
"I’m not sure there is anything he can’t do. From hanging curtains to fixing a huge hole in the side of my house caused by a tree that fell during a storm, he does it all. Excellent work; I highly recommend him!" — Wendy

Our team has worked hard to get where we are. Quality above quantity! People above profits! We absolutely hate turning away work but we are not interested in growing big and turning out higher numbers. We would rather just get even better at what we do! It feels amazing to know our reputation is such that a stranger is willing to wait 4 weeks because she has read our reviews on Nextdoor!

This was a rewarding project. We took an old dark and cold building built to be offices for a tractor sales company and turned it into a warm and inviting 1 bedroom cottage!
