He was proud of that vision therapy medal! As he should be!! He improved his visual processing speed from well below the average range to right where he should be for his age. He now completes his school assignments much faster. Mom told us homework used to take 2 hours a day and now takes 30-45 minutes. Congratulations Grad!! 🎓🎉

Vision Therapy isn't necessarily for children who "can't see". Many of our patients have 20/20 vision but have difficulty with efficient teaming of the eyes and brain. Once this is developed in therapy, patients see improvements in reading, attention, visual processing and sports. Congratulations on your outstanding progress graduate!! We are so happy you are seeing the results of your hard work with your reading, attention and eye teaming!

GUEST COMMENTARY: Why Lionel Messi's World Cup dominance has nothing to do with athleticism - The Catholic Directory Lionel Messi is 39 years old. He is 1.70 metres tall – shorter than almost every defender he plays against. He was never astoundingly quick, and he is slower now. "My child passed their school vision screening… so why are they still struggling to read??"

Did you know? Approximately 80% of learning is visual!

This is one of the most common misconceptions about children's vision.School vision screenings are designed to identify **distance vision problems**, but they typically **do not evaluate** the visual skills children rely on every day in the classroom, including:

Eye Teaming,Focusing, and Eye Tracking

These essential visual skills play a critical role in reading, learning, attention, and overall classroom performance. A child can have **20/20 eyesight** and still experience vision problems that affect their ability to learn.

Does your child become frustrated with homework, lose their place while reading, complain that words move, or avoid close-up work? Share your experiences in the comments below. Your story may help another family recognize the signs.
