The Chapman Center is an undergraduate-research-based center designed to provide hands-on experience in doing the real work of historians. We are located in Leasure Hall in the heart of the Manhattan Kansas State University Campus; we moved into this newly renovated, five-room facility in January, 2011.

Saturday was an unforgettable day at The Koester House Museum and Gardens! We were thrilled to welcome an estimated 200 visitors through its doors to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Charles and Sylvia Koester’s wedding, including 10 members of the Koester family who traveled from near and far, with some coming all the way from Hawaii.

From watching the couple portraying Charles and Sylvia cut the anniversary cake on the porch to exploring the new exhibits, historical displays, and hands-on family activities, it was a truly stunning celebration of Marysville's local history.

Thank you to everyone who came out to make this milestone so special, and a huge thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to bring it all together.

We cannot wait for another stunning Koester House Museum and Gardens event. Visit koesterhousemuseum.com to plan your next visit!

If you missed out on the fantastic festivities, stay tuned for more images of this magical community celebration coming your way soon.
