Spider Man Brand New Day has officially surpassed Avengers Age of Ultron at the worldwide box office, earning an incredible $1.45 billion in just nine days.

That puts it ahead of Age of Ultron’s $1.4 billion lifetime total and moves Brand New Day into fourth place among the highest grossing MCU movies of all time.

With its theatrical run still going, Spider Man may not be done climbing Marvel’s all time box office rankings.

Mark Ruffalo has recalled the remarkable story of how an unusual dream pushed him to get checked while filming The Last Castle around 2001.

The actor said he woke up with an overwhelming feeling that he had a brain tumor. Even though he had no obvious reason to suspect one, Ruffalo told the on set doctor, who arranged a scan that same day. Doctors later discovered a mass behind his left ear about the size of a golf ball.

The tumor was ultimately found to be benign and successfully removed, but the surgery left Ruffalo permanently deaf in his left ear. At the time, his wife Sunrise Coigney was pregnant, and Ruffalo said he initially kept the diagnosis from her because he did not want to add more stress before the birth of their son.

Years later, Ruffalo still describes the experience as one of the strangest and most life changing moments of his life.
