The end of summer is here already?! One thing is for sure: we are excited to welcome students back to campus for Fall 2026. Here's a few key dates for you and your students to be aware of.
Aug. 3 - First day of August Intersession
Aug. 14 - Last day of Summer 2026 classes
Aug. 16 - early move-in to the residence halls begins (extra fees apply)
Aug. 19 - residence hall move-in
Aug. 20-23 - K-State Kickoff
Aug. 21 - Fall financial aid refunds begin
Aug. 24 - Fall 2026 begins!
Aug. 24-28 - Week of Welcome

Look. We know that asking for help isn't always easy. We like to tell students that there's no prize for getting through college all on their own.
So if your student could benefit from additional support, encourage them to connect to Student Support and Accountability. They'll help your 'Cat navigate challenges, connect them to services, and serve as an advocate.
Yes, asking for help can be hard but the benefits far outweigh the fears. 💜

Dr. Thomas Lane, vice president of academic success and student affairs and dean of students, gave a keynote to parents and families during today's New Student Orientation.
He spoke about the importance of getting involved on campus-and shared advice on how parents and families can support 'Cats at any stage of their college journey.
