Mental Health America Lakeshore is hosting its 21st Annual There Is HOPE Su***de Awareness & Prevention Walk on Saturday, September 19, at Deland Park in Sheboygan.

I’ve attended this event for the past two years, and each time has been a truly meaningful and inspiring experience. The first year, I remember being moved by the number of people who were there to offer support, listen, and talk about anything related to mental health and su***de prevention. It was a powerful reminder that no one has to face difficult moments alone.

This walk is more than just an event. It is a time to remember loved ones, support one another, raise awareness, and remind our community that help and hope are always available. Being part of this gathering has touched my heart and shown me the strength that comes from standing together.

The walk runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Whether you walk in memory of someone, walk to support mental-health awareness, or simply want to stand with your community, your presence matters. 💙

There is hope. There is support. And you are not alone.

I stopped at the Tug Ludington yesterday. I have been here before, but it is one of those little places I always enjoy stopping at. ⚓️

It is a self-guided tour, and I added a video to show where you enter and where to pay because it can be a little confusing the first time.

It is right across from the world’s tallest grandfather clock, and if you keep walking, you can see the lighthouse too. Definitely a nice little stop if you are out exploring Kewaunee! 💙

4given Coffee Shoppe - 4CS located in Manitowoc

I had a few appointments in Manitowoc back in February and March, so I needed somewhere to sit, get organized, and relax a little in between. I ended up stopping at 4given Coffee Shoppe (4CS), and it was the perfect spot for me.

The coffee and muffins were really good. I had forgotten my phone charger, but they had chargers there I was able to use, which was very helpful. They also have QR codes by the seating areas, so it was easy to get connected to the Wi‑Fi.

It is a beautiful place, and the owner was very nice. You can tell he truly cares about the shop and the people who stop in. Definitely stop in if you are in Manitowoc! ☕️🧁

Verde Grill - Francis Creek Burger & Wings located in Francis Creei, and WI

I had to stop for gas in Francis Creek, WI, and ended up at the Shell station. After being indecisive about what to eat all day, the signs for Verde Grill Burger & Wings caught my attention—so I decided to give it a try.

I ordered a chicken sandwich and an order of Phoenix fries, and honestly, I was surprised by how delicious everything was! Such a good little unexpected food stop.

I wish I had taken better pictures of the sandwich, but I was a little too impatient and ready to eat. 😂 Definitely worth checking out if you’re passing through Francis Creek!

Tomorrow is Farmers Market day! I have been going every other Wednesday for the most part, and it has become one of my favorite little traditions.

Today’s highlight is Birdies & Bee. I ran into a friend who is one of their vendors, and now it feels like a tradition to stop by for crab rangoons, egg rolls, or sometimes both. Their food is always amazing!

There are always such wonderful people at the farmers market, and I have a great time going with family, friends, or both. I also picked up some corn and made Mexican street corn, plus I always make sure to grab cucumbers.
