The last—but certainly not the least—featured entry from the Ten Finalists in the 2026 MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival, screening both evenings on September 29 and October 1 at 5 PM in MPL's Balkansky Community Room: "Never Give Up!" from Mexico. Alone in the desert, a young boy attempts to cross the U.S.-Mexico border guided only by his mother’s final words: never give up. Teen Hang-out: Haunted Mirrors (Ages 11-18)

Create a haunted mirror out of an ordinary picture frame, just in time for the spooky season. Select a specter to trap in a mirror, and enhance the frame with creepy accoutrements. All supplies provided, along with snacks to sustain us through the dark evening.
