Lakeshore CAP

Lakeshore Community Action Program’s mission is: To promote economic and personal self-sufficiency and well-being of low to moderate income persons and families through service programs, advocacy, community education and resource development in Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc and Sheboygan counties and to enable and empower persons, parents and families through voluntary prevention, education and support programs.

“Helping people, Changing Lives” is more than our slogan, it is our complete approach. Finding resources and deploying them, whether the task be supporting those that find themselves homeless or on the verge of homelessness in becoming stably housed and self-sufficient to providing support for caregivers of children and youth.

Our Door County Food Pantry and Cradle to Career office is experiencing an internet outage that is affecting our phones. The food pantry is open today until 4pm. If you need to call, please leave a message and we will return it when we are able.

Food drive on Monday, September 28th at Sturgeon Bay Community Church from 3pm - 6pm. For every item you donate, Thrivent will donate $3 to the Door County Food Pantry Coalition. Win Win! Please help our neighbors in need, thank you!

Homeowners, renters, private nonprofit organizations and businesses have until Aug. 31 to apply for low-interest disaster loans to help cover physical damage caused by storms that occurred April 13-23.

A representative of the U.S. Small Business Administration will be at the library from 11 AM-3 PM Monday, Aug. 24 and from 1-4 PM Tuesday, Aug. 25 to help determine eligibility and provide guidance on the application process.
