Today, we had the privilege of welcoming the Alvin Yellow Jackets girls’ soccer team to volunteer at The Well—and these young women were incredible!
They eagerly stepped in wherever they were needed. Some shopped for our guests, while others loaded groceries into vehicles, assisted at the produce and meat tables, and restocked our shelves. Our volunteers truly enjoyed working alongside the team and were impressed by how friendly, hardworking, and welcoming they were.
Coaches Dan Graumann and Mike Martinez should be very proud of their players’ compassion and commitment to serving our community. Thank you, Alvin Yellow Jackets girls’ soccer team, for helping us care for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity!
Throughout the day, 82 volunteers served 294 families, providing nutritious food, fresh vegetables, and fruit to help supplement their groceries for the remainder of the week. Thank you to all our volunteers—your time, hard work, and faithful service are deeply appreciated!
We would also like to thank our generous weekly donors:
Chick-fil-A Pearland
Chick-fil-A South Fork
Chick-fil-A Shadow Creek
Dollar General Rosharon
Dollar General Arcola
Walmart Alvin
Manvel Lions Club
Little Rascals Child Care
Your continued generosity helps us fight food insecurity and make a meaningful difference throughout our community.
A special thank-you goes to Mr. and Mrs. Davis for donating several nonperishable food items. We also appreciate Veronica Rangel for stopping by with a donation of nonperishable food. Your kindness helps us restock our shelves and continue serving our neighbors in need.

The past two weeks have been such a blessing for The Well. Our community, area churches, and local businesses have come together with food donations and financial support. Today, 83 volunteers helped us serve 318 families. Our guests went home with carts full of nutritious food, and we had enough to offer extra servings to larger families. It has been a while since we’ve seen our carts this full. Thank you for making that possible.
We are grateful to Vineyard Church and Lead Pastor Kurt Attaway for donating six pallets of nonperishable food, and to It’s Your Child Care in Rosharon for organizing a food drive. A heartfelt thank-you also goes to The Church of the Harvest and Pastors Stewart and Jorene Martin for their generous financial support.
Thank you to Kroger in Friendswood and Angleton;
Chick-fil-A in Pearland, South Fork,
and Shadow Creek;
Dollar General in Rosharon
and Arcola;
Walmart in Alvin;
Little Rascals Day Care; Manvel Lions Club.
Your donations of eggs, milk, protein, chicken, desserts, bread, and other groceries helped us fill those carts for our neighbors.
We also thank Mr. and Mrs. Davis, Joy Moorman, and Sara Mora for donating nonperishable food.
Leena from Divine Veggie Cottage LLC for providing hot meals for our guests.
The Mountain Garden for sharing fresh vegetables over the past two weeks.
To our 83 volunteers, thank you for the care you showed every family today. We loved serving alongside the Manvel High School HOSA students. You helped in so many ways, and the encouraging cards and smiles you shared with our guests made the day even more special. We can’t wait to serve with you again!
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Have a wonderful week, knowing you are in good hands with Jesus in your life!

Today, The Well celebrated our one-year anniversary, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for everything God has allowed us to accomplish together during this first year.
The Well has grown to become so much more than a food pantry. It is a place of hope, compassion, prayer, and community, a place where individuals and families facing food insecurity can come and receive nutritious food while being treated with dignity, kindness, and love.
Over the past year, through the dedication of our incredible volunteers and the generosity of our community, The Well has served more than 16,000 families, welcomed over 2,400 volunteer servants, and distributed nearly one million pounds of nutritious food to our neighbors in need. What an incredible blessing!
Today was another wonderful example of that mission in action. 46 amazing volunteers served 315 families, helping provide them with nutritious food for the remainder of the week.
None of what we have accomplished would have been possible without our faithful community partners:
Chick-fil-A Pearland
Chick-fil-A Shadow Creek
Chick-fil-A South Fork
Dollar General Rosharon
Dollar General Arcola
LongHorn Steakhouse Pearland
Manvel Lions Club
Walmart Alvin
Little Rascals Child Care
Kroger Friendswood
Thank you to each of you for believing in the mission of The Well and for your continued generosity and support. Your contributions are making a real difference in the lives of families throughout our community.
A special thank-you to Mr. and Mrs. Davis for your generous donation of nonperishable food items. Every item donated helps us keep our shelves stocked and provides much-needed groceries to families.
We are also grateful to Leena from Divine Veggies Cottage LLC for generously providing several hot meals for our guests. Thank you for sharing your delicious food and your heart for our community. Please visit their page and support this wonderful local business by ordering some of their delicious meals and snacks.
A huge thank-you to Judy Jacobs for her generous monetary donation. Your support helps us fill our shelves and continue the fight against hunger and food insecurity in our community.
And a heartfelt thank-you to Pastor Jason and The Church on MastersRoad for providing a delicious anniversary luncheon and, most importantly, for the tremendous love and support you continue to pour into The Well and its mission.
This first year has not been without challenges, but through every challenge, God has remained faithful. Time and again, He has provided the volunteers, food, resources, partners, and support needed to continue serving our neighbors.
As we begin our second year, we move forward with faith, gratitude, and excitement for what God has in store. We believe there are many more families to serve, lives to touch, and opportunities to share hope with our community.
To every volunteer, donor, church, business, and community partner who has walked alongside us during this first year, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are an important part of The Well family, and we could not do this without you.
The best is yet to come!
To God be the glory!

This week, I’d like to take a moment to highlight some of the extraordinary volunteers who help make The Well Food Pantry such a special and efficient place to serve our community.
Sandy Killian, Jackie Osina, and Marie Huerta each play an important role every Monday and Tuesday. These incredible ladies bring their own unique gifts, skills, and talents to The Well. What makes them even more remarkable is their willingness and ability to step into one another’s roles whenever needed. Their teamwork, leadership, and dedication help keep our pantry running smoothly and ensure that our guests are served with dignity and care.
And then there’s Gomer Huerta, a retired police officer who faithfully manages our parking lot and drive-through line. Whether the Texas heat is blazing or the rain is pouring, Gomer never complains. He is always outside making sure vehicles are lined up properly, traffic continues moving, and our guests get through the drive-through safely and efficiently.
I am extremely proud of these leaders and the way they continually step up to serve others. Sandy, Jackie, Marie, and Gomer, your commitment, dedication, and service do not go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do. You are truly appreciated!
Today at The Well, 82 faithful servants came together to serve 336 families, providing nutritious food to help carry them through the remainder of the week. Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to serve our community. You are truly the hands and feet of Jesus!
A very special thank-you to Michael and Kayla Barton of Barton Bread and Butter for generously donating desserts for our volunteers. Everyone enjoyed them and couldn’t stop talking about how delicious they were! Thank you for thinking of our hardworking volunteers and blessing them with such a wonderful treat.
We would also like to give a huge shout-out to our faithful weekly business and community contributors:
• Chick-fil-A Pearland
• Chick-fil-A Shadow Creek
• Chick-fil-A South Fork
• Manvel Lions Club
• LongHorn Steakhouse Pearland
• Walmart Alvin
• Dollar General Rosharon

• Little Rascals Day Care
Your continued support and generosity make a tremendous difference as we work together to fight food insecurity in our community. Thank you for standing alongside The Well and the families we serve.
May everyone have a wonderful, safe, and blessed week!
