R-Controlled Vowel Sort!

Our students are sorting, identifying, and saying words with R-controlled vowels ar, er, ir, or, and ur!

Hands-on activities like this help children recognize spelling patterns, strengthen decoding skills, improve pronunciation, and build reading fluency and confidence. When students can see it, sort it, say it, and read it, the learning sticks!

Teaching students to build T-charts for multiplication gives them a strategy they can rely on when the facts don’t come to mind right away. Instead of feeling anxious or stuck, they can start with a fact they know and count up using repeated addition.

Multiplication is repeated addition, and giving children a visual strategy helps build confidence, number sense, and eventually fluency. The goal isn’t just memorizing facts,it’s understanding how to find the answer.
