Yesterday, our teachers kicked off the school year with training on 7 Steps to a Language-Rich, Interactive Classroom with Mr. Peralta, followed by an exciting day at Convocation! 🎉📚

From Houston to Washington, Maryem had an incredible summer! ⚾🌊✈️

Here is a quick look at her summer adventures:
- Won Astros tickets through the Reliant Summer Reading Program with her brother, Issam Emilio
- Explored marine biology in Galveston and hiked 6 miles in Washington
- Trained hard for her upcoming ice skating competition
- Met an all-female pilot team on her flight home (matching her dream job!)

Despite such a packed schedule, Maryem is still asking her family every day what is next. She can’t wait to get back to school! 🎒💙

Get to know Mrs. Alvarez:
I’m an Alief ISD graduate, a proud wife, and a mom of two who loves spending quality time with family and going fishing in my free time. With prior experience as a kindergarten aide, I have a true heart for working with children. I’m so excited to bring my energy to the team, learn alongside the staff, and support our students every step of the way!
