✅Topsoil is salvaged and replaced; mining is phased, not all at once

✅Full-cutoff fixtures aim light down, not up or out

✅Bare ground and rock faces host rare ground-nesting bees
✅Vulcan has run certified quarry habitats since 1990, the nation's first
✅CRH: 3,044 acres managed for wildlife at 18 certified sites
✅Ponds, buffers and reclaimed benches feed deer, turkey and birds

The truth about quarry groundwater in Georgia

The MYTH:
❌Quarries poison the well water
❌Toxic chemicals leach into the aquifer
❌Nobody ever tests it

The TRUTH:
✅Crushed stone is inert rock, washed with water only
✅Permitted and inspected by Georgia EPD
✅Monitoring wells sampled on a set schedule
✅Discharge and stormwater tested and reported
