Having access to AEDs is not just about having them on site, its also means their locations are clearly marked with visible signage. With the advocacy work of our New York Project ADAM affiliates, 8 additional AEDs are now accessible at their local golf course. They also added stickers on the windshield of every golf cart that lists the locations of all the AEDs on the course. ⛳

Did you know that Project ADAM has already created signage for you? chrome-extensio://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.projectadam.com/ProjectADAM/AED-Arrows_0324_FINAL.pdf

AEDs are found in schools, sports facilities, airports, malls, and other public places.

Simply having one nearby isn't enough.

Over the next several days, learn how to help save a life when every second counts.

The 6th Annual National CPR & AED Awareness Rally & March in Washington, D.C. was an incredible success. THANK YOU Every Second Counts CPR for hosting such a powerful event and bringing together so many organizations and advocates committed to increasing awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and expanding access to CPR and AED training.

From meaningful networking, to marching to the Capitol and Lincoln Memorial in unity, to hands‑on CPR and AED demonstrations, an advocate dinner, and a full day on the National Mall showcasing lifesaving missions — the energy and collaboration were inspiring.

Project ADAM was proud to participate as a Silver Sponsor and stand alongside this movement. We’re already looking forward to next year and continuing the work to ensure every community is prepared to save a life ❤️ ♥️ ❤️

Summer is the perfect time to learn a skill that could save a life.

Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere. Knowing how to perform CPR and use an AED can make all the difference while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.

This summer, challenge yourself and your family to learn CPR & AED use:
- Watch a free Hands-Only CPR video from the American Heart Association https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPUoPwbRvL8
- Sign up for an in-person CPR/AED class through your local EMS, fire department, hospital, or community organization.
- Make it a family activity by practicing together so everyone feels confident in an emergency.

You never know when someone you love may need you. Take a little time this summer to be prepared. Your knowledge could save a life.

Our Heart Safe champions are the ones making the difference and so often, they are our school nurses. 🩺

This week, we had the privilege of seeing two incredible school nurse leaders from Washington County Public Schools and Bedford County Public Schools share their Project ADAM journey and inspire others to prioritize sudden cardiac preparedness in the state of Virginia.

During their presentation, they highlighted the progress Virginia has made in creating safer school communities, shared their experiences navigating the 12 Project ADAM Heart Safe School designation criteria, and encouraged schools to take action to prepare for the unexpected.

Thank you to these incredible leaders for sharing your passion, knowledge, and dedication with fellow school health professionals.

This month we're excited to introduce one of our newest Project ADAM affiliates - Children's National in Washington, DC!

Meet the team:
Dr. Tom Choi - Medical Director
Michael DiMaggio - Program Coordinator

Washington, DC faces one of the highest incidences of sudden cardiac arrest in the nation, while also having one of the lowest rates of bystander intervention according to the CARES Registry. The Children's National Project ADAM team is committed to changing that by working with schools to improve emergency preparedness.

❤A recent success:
The team has already mapped 149 schools throughout the DC region. They have identified each school's ward, collected nearly every schools phone number, and obtained email addressed for approximately 60% of school principals.

❤ What they love most about their work:
"The opportunity to stop a family and their community from tragic heartbreak"
- Michael DiMaggio
