Comfort in a bowl, no peeling required 💜

This Easy Potato Soup starts with frozen hash browns, so it comes together fast on days when energy is low. Greek yogurt makes it rich and creamy while adding a little extra calcium.

What's your go-to soup on tough treatment days? Share it below so others can try it too.

Hospice and palliative care are related, but they are not the same.

Palliative care focuses on easing symptoms, managing side effects, and improving quality of life. It can begin at diagnosis and be provided alongside cancer treatment. It supports the whole person, including emotional and mental well-being.

Hospice is a type of palliative care for people nearing the end of life, when the goal shifts from trying to cure or control the cancer to comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Both provide support for patients and their loved ones.

If you think palliative care could help you or someone you love, ask the care team about a referral. 💜

Big news for this year's Warriors of Hope 5K 💜

What started as one race in honor of Irene Aragon is growing. On November 7th, we're running in two places: Houston and Utah.

Our new Utah race is dedicated to Kendle Salisbury, a stage 4 stomach cancer patient whose strength inspired this next step.

More room to run. More neighbors joining in. More HOPE for everyone affected by stomach cancer.

Our hearts are heavy as we share that our dear friend and community member, Patricia “Patty” Scancella, has passed away. 💜🩷

Having survived breast cancer and later faced stomach cancer, Patty knew all too well the strength it takes to live through cancer. Yet she was so much more than her diagnoses. She was a beloved friend and a meaningful part of our Hope for Stomach Cancer family, and we will always be grateful for the warmth, courage, and connection she brought to our community.

We extend our deepest love and condolences to Patty’s family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. 💜🩷

💙 “I Want to Give People Hope”

We’re incredibly grateful to see Kendle Salisbury’s story featured in St. George News!

While living with Stage 4 stomach cancer, Kendle is turning her journey into action by organizing the Hope in Every Step 5K Run & Walk, a fundraising event benefiting Hope for Stomach Cancer.

Her words capture the heart behind the event: “I want to give people hope.”

Through this 5K, Kendle is bringing her community together to raise awareness, support those affected by stomach cancer, and help further HOPE’s mission of ensuring that no one faces this disease alone.

We are so thankful to Kendle for choosing to support Hope for Stomach Cancer and for using her voice and her journey to make a difference. 💙

Thank you to St. George News for sharing Kendle’s story and helping shine a light on stomach cancer.

Understanding your diagnosis is part of your care.

Every stomach cancer is unique, and biomarkers help your healthcare team understand yours. They can guide personalized treatment options, point to targeted therapies or immunotherapy, and uncover clinical trial opportunities.

This Health Literacy Month, we're continuing our biomarker series. Follow along every Monday as we break down the tests that can help personalize your care. 💜
