Texas Trails Ranch

Texas Trails Ranch has 12 beautiful does. Many of them are bred and we can’t wait to see their beautiful nuggets. Here’s our lineup……

We have another exciting breeding announcement to make!!

Agape’s Prize Mon Dieu is bred to CH DesertNanny TC Love Gun VEE90

Paris is a granddaughter to GCH Agape’s Prize French Quarter 4*M EEEE92 2x National Champion. She is also the Granddaughter of GCH Wolfivan CQ Ginger Root 3*M EEEE92 the 2024 National Champion! Paris is an absolutely beautiful young doe who will be a first freshener. She is a very promising looking young doe who has an incredible pedigree to back it up.

The sire is CH DesertNanny TC Love Gun VEE 90 who has produced our first home grown reserve champion and stamps his daughters with long level rumps and fantastic dairy strength.

These kids will have a pedigree loaded with high LA scores, show wins, and consistency.

We have another exciting pregnancy to announce! Creekwood Acres Peachy Keen is bred to CH DesertNanny TC Love Gun VEE90.

Peachy was an addition to our herd in January. I have admired her dam GCH Creekwood Acres Sugar Rush 1*M VEEE90 who is over at Lovesdown Ranch for a long time. When we had the opportunity to bring a daughter of hers into her herd we knew it was one we couldn’t pass up. Thank you again Erin for letting us bring Peachy into our herd.

CH DesertNanny TC Love Gun VEE90 needs no introduction. He has been heavily featured in our breedings and his daughters have been making a splash in the show ring. They are consistently in the top 3 places in their classes.

This breeding will create a pedigree full of high LA scores, high quality udders, and fantastic temperaments. Peachy is a CM
carrier so all kids will be DNA tested.

Our next confirmed breeding is another exciting pairing. This breeding resulted in our first homebred doe to bring home a ribbon! Texas Trails Ranch Luna had a beautiful FF udder. She is a compact little doe who is very well balanced. CH DesertNanny TC Love Gun paired beautifully with Luna and passes on his length and his E head to his daughters.

We have exciting news! We are starting to confirm pregnancies for fall breedings! Six Oaks Janet *M VVEG86 is confirmed bred to to CH DesertNanny TC Love Gun! This is one of our most exciting breedings this year. These kids should be DAIRY. Both sire and dam are fantastic goats with great pedigrees! We are planning to retain a doe kid but reservations are currently open on this pair!

Ok guys we have 2 stunning blue eyed bucklings left available this year. You do not want to sleep on these boys! These boys were born 3/13 and are in your pocket friendly.

Their sire is CH DesertNanny TC Love Gun VEE90 he has been an incredible general appearance buck and is quickly becoming the foundation of our herd. His daughters have consistently been placing in the top 3 of their classes. One of his daughters has won every class she has stepped foot into and has gotten 2 Junior Reserve Grand Champions.

Their dam is an extremely promising first freshener who produced a peak of 4.1 lbs on milk test! Hatch was heavily praised at linear appraisal and the appraiser felt with a bit more time to mature she would grow into a fantastic doe. She is incredibly dairy and has beautiful angulation.

These boys are available with or without papers. We test our herd annually for CAE, CL, and Johne’s.

I am beyond proud of our girls today! The STGC Memorial Classic was filled with some incredible goats and tough competition. It was great hanging out with all our goat friends even though it was a VERY long day. Thank you so much to all of our amazing friends that helped us handle goats.

Our Juniors absolutely killed it and Minnie got another reserve grand champion!

In all 3 rings we had 2 goats in the grand lineup and 2 of the rings we also had two does on deck for when grand was selected.

3-6 month old-
Karen: 2nd place in 2 rings and I believe 4th in ring 3
Karma: placed towards the end of her classes but was only in the age group by 3 days and was not feeling it.

6-9 month old-
Minnie: 1st place in all 3 rings and reserve grand in ring 1

12-18 month old-
Paris: 2nd place in 2 rings and I don’t remember her placing in the 3rd

18-24:
Juliet- 1st place in all 3 rings

Our seniors did well today although they needed some more fill time and did best in the 3rd ring with more milk in their udders. Both placed in the 2nd half of their class for the first two rings. The 3rd ring the girls placed as follows:

Rocky: 6th
Hatch: 5th

This weekend, we are set to attend a goat show, which always requires clipping the goats beforehand. It is not uncommon for a goat's first clipping to reveal a remarkable surprise hidden under their thick fluff. Karma proved to be no exception, she revealed an impressive new coat color and an amazing body conformation.
We can’t wait to see how she does in the ring on Saturday.

These death naps are contagious apparently 😂

Both goats are perfectly fine just dramatic nappers!
