🏐💙LET’S HEAR IT FOR THE GIRLS! 💛🏐

Yesterday was truly an AMAZING day for Charger Athletics as our Lady Chargers hit the court for the Westbank Volleyball Championships! 🏆

🏐 SENIOR GIRLS: Our Seniors battled it out against St. Andrew in a hard-fought championship match. While they came up just short, they proudly earned the title of WESTBANK RUNNER-UPS! 🥈 Their impressive season record has secured them a spot in the upcoming City Playoffs!

🏐 JUNIOR GIRLS: CHAMPIONS! Our Juniors took down St. Cletus to claim the title of WESTBANK CHAMPIONS! These girls came ready to play and proved exactly why they belong at the top! 🏆

We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, determination, and heart these young ladies have shown all season long! The job isn’t finished yet, Chargers! Let’s keep that momentum rolling into the City Championships! LET’S GO, LADY CHARGERS! 💙💛

🏆🏈 WESTBANK CHAMPIONS… TIMES TWO! 🏈🏆

What an afternoon to be a CHARGER!
Today our Junior and Senior Flag Football teams took to Charger Field with one goal in mind: Play hard, play together, and LIGHT UP THE SCOREBOARD! 🔥

🏈 JUNIOR BOYS: In an exciting, high-scoring showdown against St. Cletus, our Chargers battled their way to a thrilling 47-32 VICTORY!

🏈 SENIOR BOYS: Our Chargers came out firing with a touchdown on their opening drive against Visitation and never looked back, securing a 27-13 VICTORY!

✨ And speaking of lighting up the scoreboard… a special THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our beautiful scoreboard a reality! ✨

The journey isn’t over yet! Both teams will head into next week’s CSAL City Playoffs as the #1 SEEDS from the Westbank! 💪

🙏💙 This morning, our 1st–3rd grade students gathered together to celebrate Mass on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. 📿✨

Celebrated each year on October 7, this special feast reminds us of the power of prayer and encourages us to turn to Mary as she always leads us closer to Jesus.

As we continue through the Month of the Holy Rosary, we encourage all of our Charger families to make time to pray the Rosary together. Whether it’s one decade or the entire Rosary, may we turn to Mary with our intentions, our worries, and our gratitude, asking her to lead us always closer to her Son. 🙏📿

🙏 Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!

🙏💛 KIDS BUILDING UP KIDS : Part 4! 💛🏠

Just a few more smiles from a day worth remembering! Today was about more than decorating studs. It was about teaching our Chargers that kindness, prayer, and service can help build something bigger than ourselves. Thanks to everyone who had a part, big or small, in making it all come together!

🙏💛 KIDS BUILDING UP KIDS : Part 3! 💛🏠

Every message written today will soon be tucked inside the walls of the St. Jude Dream Home which is a pretty amazing reminder that something as simple as a few kind words can become part of something so much bigger!

🙏💛 KIDS BUILDING UP KIDS : Part 2! 💛🏠

Here are some more special moments from today’s St. Jude Kids Building Up Kids Stud Signing! Our Chargers filled these studs with prayers, encouragement, colorful artwork, and LOTS of love for the incredible kids of St. Jude!

🙏💛 KIDS BUILDING UP KIDS : Part 1! 💛🏠

Today was the perfect culmination of an incredible service-learning project benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!

Over the past several weeks, our Chargers have learned that even the smallest hands can make a BIG difference. Today, our entire school came together for our St. Jude Dream Home Stud Signing, decorating the actual studs that will be used to help build this year’s St. Jude Dream Home!

Our students covered each stud with prayers, Bible verses, encouraging words, colorful drawings, and messages of hope for the brave children and families fighting childhood cancer.
There is something incredibly special about knowing that pieces of our Chargers’ love, faith, and prayers will literally become part of a home built to help support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.

A huge thank you to Hyman L Bartolo Jr. Contractors Inc., St. Jude, and everyone who helped make our Kids Building Up Kids service-learning project possible. What a beautiful reminder to our students that no matter their age, they have the power to serve others and make an impact.

🏠Kids Building Up Kids!🔨

What began with a simple conversation between family members has grown into an opportunity for an entire school community to make a lasting difference!!

The culmination of the project is THIS TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6th. Students and their families, faculty and staff, community members and the home builders will gather to decorate the studs, or 2x4s, that will form the framework of the 2027 St. Jude Dream Home.

But these will be more than ordinary pieces of lumber. Participants will write prayers, messages of encouragement, and words of hope directly onto the studs. When the home is constructed, those messages will be hidden behind the walls carrying their hopes and love to the children and families of St. Jude.

Join us in this mission to bring HOPE and LOVE to the children of St. Jude. Donations may be made online at https://www.icschargers.org/kids-building-up-kids

🐰🐢 Today we celebrated one of our favorite ICS traditions, our Annual Blessing of the Pets in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and all of God’s creation. 🐶🐱

Our Charger families brought some very special (and very furry) members of their families to campus to receive a blessing. From wagging tails and wet noses to paws of every size, it was such a sweet reminder that God’s love can be seen throughout all of His creation. 💙🙏

A special thank you to our families for joining us and helping make this beloved tradition so meaningful each year!

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us and for all of our beloved pets! 🐾✝️
