K8 Events

We are very grateful for our Sponsors who have donated money or in kind services to K8 Event team for the 2026 MKF Concert Series. We are truly grateful to these businesses for investing into their local community and supporting the Arts. K8 Event Team is not funded through big grants or donors.

Our budget for just one concert event on average is $5,500. This cost includes performance fees, sound/lighting fees, property rental from MKF, and police officers. Even though we raise money through season passes/ticket sales, alcoholic beverages, raffles and vendor fees we still could not pay for the event without Sponsors. That is why we also do fundraisers and offer advertising sponsorships.

If you would like to be a Sponsor for the 2027 season or know someone that may be interested, please send us an email at [email protected] or DM us. K8 Event Team is run by volunteers and all the money goes to either put on the events or help local children in need of musical instruments. We will be offering two season passes for 2027 MKF Concert Series in exchange for an instrument if you have one to donate.

Thank you to our Sponsors and also to everyone that attended an event this season at MKF. We had an awesome time and can't wait to do it again!

Thank you General Rent-All for supplying the tractor trailers we use for our stage at MKF and for supporting K8 Event Team with the Concert Series. General Rent-All also brings in equipment to help us setup the large canopy that provides cover for the band. We highly recommend using them for your equipment rental needs. They are a great local company that is invested in the local community. We are proud to have them as a Platinum Sponsor as well as all the sponsors that made 2026 possible.

Running out of time to complete your Summer Projects? We have all of the tools and equipment you need to wrap up that list. Check out our rental catalog here: www.generalrentall.com/equipment-rentals

Tonight's Concert (King's Highway Tom Petty Tribute) has been canceled due to expected rain/thunderstorms. It will not be rescheduled this season. We are disappointed to end the season this way but we will be planning our 2027 Concert Series at MKF and hoping we have better weather next season. Thank you to everyone who has supported K8 Event Team this year. If you purchased tickets online, you will be refunded in full. Season Pass Holders will receive a special offer next year for discounted passes in 2027.

Thank you Mike from What's Up Ohio for capturing some great pictures of Vicious Cycle, Richard Matty, and the audience on 9/22.

On August 29, 2026, the K8 Events Team welcomed Vicious Cycle, a powerful Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute, to the General Rent-All Stage at the The K Club at The Massillon Knights Foundation in Ohio for an evening built on Southern rock, remembrance, and enduring legacy.

Before Vicious Cycle took the stage, Richard Matty Music opened the night with an acoustic performance, setting a warm and heartfelt tone for the event. His music returned during intermission, giving the evening a seamless rhythm and offering the crowd a chance to stay connected to the spirit of live performance between sets.

Vicious Cycle brings the unmistakable sound, grit, and emotional weight of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music to life with deep respect for the band’s history and the fans who continue to carry it forward. The tribute honors the timeless songs associated with Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines, while also recognizing the sacrifices and service of first responders and service members whose courage remains woven into the heart of American communities.

The performance also carries the memory of Cherokee Mike, a central figure in the origin and identity of Vicious Cycle. As a founder and guiding force, Cherokee Mike helped shape the band’s sound, standards, and purpose, building more than a tribute act; he helped create a living celebration of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music and the loyal community surrounding it.

Cherokee Mike passed away in 2022, leaving behind a profound absence for bandmates, friends, and fans. Before his passing, he asked that Vicious Cycle continue. That request became a promise. With a new singer and the same musicians who helped define the band’s presence, Vicious Cycle was revived not as a replacement for what was lost, but as a continuation of what Cherokee Mike helped build.

The result is a performance rooted in memory and momentum. Every song carries the familiar force of Skynyrd’s catalog, but also the personal weight of a band honoring one of its own. For longtime fans, the show offers a chance to reconnect with music that has marked generations. For new listeners, it opens the door to a legacy shaped by loyalty, resilience, and the enduring power of Southern rock.

At the Massillon Knights Foundation, on the General Rent-All Stage, Vicious Cycle’s August 29 performance stands as more than a concert. It was a tribute to iconic musicians, to those who serve, to a founder whose vision lives on, and to the fans who keep the music alive.
