Remember? I do..like it was yesterday...shift change at 24..we all sat or stood in the kitchen and watched the first plane hit. None of us left early that morning. At home I called my parents to tell them about it. I talked with fellow Capt. Dick Pickard back at 24 and the second plane had already hit and the buildings burned. The last thing we talked about was the structural integrity of those buildings with the amount of fire. We hung up. A few seconds later the South Tower fell.
Yeah...like it was yesterday.
