Not a book cover... but it’s still my art... SO... welcome to my “free time”.

This weekend I had some “me-time”. I honestly had almost forgot what that was. My go to when I have a weekend of nothingness planned, always has been, and always will be, more art. But not art that I have to do to survive. Art for me.

This weekend I decided to resurrect a painting that I had planned out about a year ago. I knew it was going to take a while, and I wanted a long term and large-scale painting to work on. I never stopped thinking about the concept, and I’ve had this canvas just staring at me for the last year. So, this sounded like the perfect weekend for it.

Here’s a little behind the scenes of how my brain-brains through the course of a painting. If you were (un)fortunate enough to get a weekends worth of snaps of every step in the process, I’m only a little bit sorry haha.

Is it done? Nope. Am I happy with where I landed so far? Yes, absolutely, and that is rare for me to actually say. I can’t wait to get back on it!

Also, since I’ve been asked, I finally started an amazon storefront. (So far, it’s just a painting item list, and a gaming item list, because of course it is lol)

After the semi-cover-hiatus, coming back and seeing older premade covers that are still available on my site got me thinking.. that maybe.. juuuust maybe.. they need a facelift. Some do not match my style anymore, others have fonts that I'm no longer obsessed with, others need a bit of tweaking to match up with current trends... and so on and so on.
