Hi There. I shoot in studio, on location, and in Texas. Now - this has to be one of the most difficult things to write as I really do not fall into the “typical” photographer category. I love what I do and it’s one of those things that would do (even if I don’t get paid for it). It’s a passion and it’s something that I’m constantly working on. A few days ago I was asked, what’s been my favorite sh

From a little boy in a blue kindergarten cap to a young man walking across the stage in his graduation gown — I don’t even know how we got here so fast. I’m so proud of you, son. Not just for graduating, but for the man you’re becoming. You’ve come such a long way, and through it all you’ve kept such a good heart. You’re kind, thoughtful, funny, and you have a soul that makes people better just by being around you. - As your dad, it’s been one of the greatest blessings of my life to watch you grow. I’m excited for what’s ahead for you, and I’ll always be cheering you on. I love you, son. I’m proud of you. Always.

Today we took Diego's senior portraits.
I’ve been doing senior portraits since around 2010, so I figured this would be pretty normal for me. I’ve photographed a lot of seniors over the years, and I know how important these photos are to families. But this one hit different - He was super easy to work with. That wasn’t the hard part.
The hard part was looking at him through my camera and realizing he’s about a week away from graduating high school.
Man, it went fast (still remember dropping him off at Kinder). One minute they’re little kids playing with toys, and then somehow you’re standing there taking their senior portraits. I’m proud of him. I’m blessed to be his dad. And I’m excited to see what God has planned for his future. I’ve photographed a lot of senior sessions over the years, but this was probably one of the hardest ones I’ve ever done.
Not because of him.
Because this time I wasn’t just the photographer.
I was Dad.
Love you son
It’s blue bonnet season up here in the hill country

A pretty good day at the Mission Chamber luncheon. Full house, like always. We heard from Congressman Henry Cuellar and several other national and international leaders. After it wrapped up, I had a few minutes to talk with him. He asked about my upbringing, so I shared a little about my parents and the way they served their community.
Then he asked to take a photo with me. That’s a first, lol. Anyways, I liked what he had to say and I had a great time. It’s always fun working with the Mission Chamber. You never know what the day will bring and who you’ll meet.

Great day in McAllen working with the Driscoll team. Had a lot of fun helping prepare a new campaign and collaborating with an awesome group of people. Always thankful for clients who trust the process.

It was a great day for head shots in Harlingen. Solid way to hit the middle of the month.

Editing photos from the Driscoll Parade late last night, listening to a photography documentary, when that squirrel decided to stop by again. 🐿️
If you remember, he came to visit a week or two ago—apparently that wasn’t a one-time consultation.
He peeked in like he was checking my edits… or maybe just admiring the Christmas lights. Either way, I think I’ve officially got a squirrel creative director now.
