Our Capable Kids member, Jesus Rodriguez, got to see his favorite band, Duelo, live in concert once again and even had the opportunity to spend time with the band! 🤩 Moments like these remind us how meaningful it is to experience the things we love and create unforgettable memories. We are looking for a location to host Sparks Cheer practice in the Edinburg/ Mcallen area on Mondays from 6-8 pm starting in October. If anyone has any space they could donate form these practices- it would be greatly appreciated. I deally the space would have ample parking, ADA bathrooms, and the ability for children in wheelchairs to navigate easily. If you could help us out, we would greatly appreciate it! We are also looking for a location to practice on Saturday mornings from 10 am-12 pm

Estamos buscando un lugar en el área de Edinburg/McAllen para realizar los entrenamientos de Sparks Cheer los lunes, de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m., a partir de octubre. Agradeceríamos enormemente si alguien pudiera facilitar un espacio para estas prácticas. Lo ideal sería que el lugar contara con amplio estacionamiento, baños accesibles (cumpliendo con las normas ADA) y facilidades de desplazamiento para niños en silla de ruedas. ¡Les estaríamos muy agradecidos por cualquier ayuda! También buscamos un lugar para entrenar los sábados por la mañana, de 10:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m.

Damian Rendón was selected to be in the Times Square NYC video on September 12th. He was chosen from thousands of participants! The one-hour video featured over 500 photographs of children, adolescents, and adults with Down syndrome from all 50 states and several countries. The photographs were projected onto two enormous Jumbotron screens in Times Square, New York City!

This presentation highlights the value, diversity, and potential of people in the Down syndrome community and serves as the official opening event of the New York City Buddy Walk in Central Park.

El video, de una hora de duración, incluyó más de 500 fotografías de niños, adolescentes y adultos con síndrome de Down provenientes de los 50 estados y de varios países. ¡Las fotografías se proyectaron en dos enormes pantallas gigantes en Times Square, Nueva York!
