I loved hearing on Dave Asprey’s podcast that colostrum may support the gut differently than traditional prebiotics. Instead of broadly feeding bacteria, it supports the beneficial bacteria we actually want while also providing compounds that support the gut lining.

Heat can denature some of colostrum’s valuable bioactive compounds like immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, and growth factors, which is why I mix mine into something cold .. always.

Not all colostrum is created equal!

Excessive heat, overprocessing, or dilution can impact the bioactive compounds that make colostrum unique. That’s one reason I chose Heart & Soil Grass-Fed Colostrum, they test to verify key bioactive components are retained. Heart & Soil

I’d rather wear a continuous glucose monitor and see what my blood sugar is doing in real time over the course of several days than rely on one sugary drink and one snapshot in time.

Pregnancy already comes with enough anxiety and enough wondering if you’re doing everything right. 😮‍💨

I don’t see the point in adding another layer of fear based on one test when I’d rather rely on methods that give me a more complete picture of my overall health.

I’m choosing the approach that gives me more information and helps me feel more confident about what’s actually happening with my body. 🫶

Burnout in the Beauty Industry, let’s talk about it!

If you ask anyone in the beauty industry what they love most about their career (besides making their own schedule), I would bet most people would tell you it’s the relationships they build with their clients.

Our clients become family. The trust that’s built in this career is unlike anything else.

But there’s another side to that conversation that we don’t talk about enough.

We listen to heartbreaks, divorces, pregnancies, miscarriages, diagnoses, family drama, grief, anxiety, and everything in between. We celebrate your wins, cry with you during your losses, and carry pieces of those conversations long after you leave the treatment room.

This isn’t me saying, “Stop trauma dumping.”

Not at all.

This is me speaking to the beauty industry because there’s just not much discourse about this topic.

I’ve been an Esthetician for 15 years, and I’ve watched incredibly talented hairstylists, estheticians, and beauty professionals burn the f**k out. Some leave the industry completely. Others stay, but lose the passion that made them fall in love with it in the first place.

I’ve been there too.

I worked seven days a week. I had zero boundaries. If someone wanted an appointment, I said yes. If someone wanted to pay me, I said yes… until I couldn’t anymore.

Learning to work fewer hours and create boundaries didn’t make me less successful—it made me sustainable.

One of the greatest gifts this career has given me is the freedom to grow. The flexibility of this industry gave me the space to explore health and wellness alongside aesthetics, and today I get to do both.

One thing I cut from the original video was her reminder to support the beauty professionals you love. Leave a tip, write a Google or Yelp review, refer a friend, or share their work. Those small gestures make a huge impact on someone’s business. After all… why wouldn’t you want to support your free therapist?

If you’re in the beauty industry, I’d love to hear from you.

Have you experienced burnout? What helped? What boundaries made all the difference for you ?

YOUR BROWS WILL GET DARKER WHEN TINTED. If you don’t want darker brows, this isn’t for you.

If you have a good amount of hair, congrats! You have more options. Such as:

Tinting lightly so only the hairs are dyed. This can go from very light to very dark, make sure you’re specific with what you want ESPECIALLY if you have a light colored hair.

2nd option is a deeper stain where the hair and the skin is colored. Skin stains last about 3-5 days, 7 if you’re a rebel and completely keep water off them (I don’t recommend this). Overall this is more “dramatic”. This is more of a makeup look, a great representation of what a powder brow tattoo will look like.

If you barely have any hair, tinting the brows relies more on the stain of the skin to achieve a fuller appearance. Hair is still dyed and the color variation (how light or dark you go) will appear more on blonde / light brown brows.

𝐈𝐅 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐓 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐀 𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐖 𝐋𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 📣

The hair gets darker much quicker than a stand-alone service of a Brow Wax & Tint. Why?

A brow lamination changes the structure of the brow hairs, making them temporarily more porous. That means the tint grabs onto the hairs much faster and can appear darker.

𝐒𝐎! This becomes a balancing act of not letting the hair get too dark while also trying to stain the skin a bit. The skin will never stain as dark when done with a lamination as it does when the tint is done alone with a waxing.

Tell me what you think of this woman’s brows in the video! Was she right for freaking out about her freshly done tint? Booking link for Brow services is in my bio, McKinney only. 📍

I lost both my parents to heart disease.

When my annual physical in March (‘25) revealed undesirable blood markers, I knew I needed to make big shifts. 𝘐 𝘷𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘦𝘥 (I was 34) to see if lifestyle intervention could help. I know this isn’t always the case …

My name is Mallory and I’ve been a Licensed Esthetician for 14+ years and now work as an Integrative Health Coach supporting women in their individual health transformations through lifestyle/nutrition changes.

I’m a SoCal native living in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, and still travel back to California regularly to see clients for Esthetic services. I also work with women virtually all over the country that want to clean up their daily skincare routines and make more conscious hormone-healthy choices when it comes to beauty/lifestyle products.

My own healing journey started in 2018, when years of stress finally caught up with me. In 2020, I came off hormonal birth control (after 12 years) and began the long (and honestly, empowering) process of getting my cycle back, clearing my skin, and making strides towards healing my gut. That journey shaped everything I do today.

Most recently, I’ve had huge success lowering my heart-health markers, naturally — and it’s made me even more passionate about helping other women address their health concerns in a committed, natural way. I believe our bodies are incredibly capable of healing when you give them the right support.

I’m currently working towards becoming Nationally Board Certified as a health coach, and I’m obsessed with good food, quality ingredients, self-care, natural healing, non-toxic beauty, and helping other women step into the best versions of themselves.

I’m so happy you’re here ! I’m here to make real-world connections so stop by my DM’s so we can connect! For more info about what I do, click the link in my bio to visit my website.
