The planning phase, including architectural drawings, engineering, and permits, usually takes 2–6 weeks. Once construction begins, most projects are completed in 5–8 weeks, depending on the scope and whether plumbing or additional rooms are involved.

Every project is different, but proper planning and inspections help ensure the finished space is built right.

This project started with a 20-foot ceiling and catwalk overlooking the living room. We converted that open space into a second-story gym, added soundproof insulation, and redesigned the ceiling below to keep the room feeling open and inviting.

• Built-in spice drawers located right next to the range for easy access while cooking

• Built-in utensil drawers to keep everyday tools organized and tucked away

• Pull-out drawers instead of lower cabinets, which are a great way to store pots, pans, and larger kitchen items

• Super Susans to maximize corner cabinet space and add more useable storage

• Pull-out trash bins (because your custom kitchen doesn’t need a trash can as an eyesore)

• Built-in adjustable baking sheet storage right above the oven for maximum convenience
