Psalm 22:18 says, “They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment.”
John 19:23–24 records Roman soldiers dividing Jesus’ clothing and casting lots for His garment during the crucifixion—and directly identifies what happened as fulfilling Scripture.
Even this detail had been written beforehand.

Leviticus 19:32 instructed God’s people to stand in the presence of the elderly and show respect for the aged.
In a world that often celebrates youth and overlooks old age, Scripture gives us a different picture. Age wasn’t something to mock or dismiss. God’s people were commanded to show honor.
They surprised this inmate and his reaction will bless you 😊🥳

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed AB 2017, legislation concerning state recognition of the Islamic holidays Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. The measure adds the two observances to California’s statutory framework for state holidays and creates provisions affecting their recognition in public education. This raises a serious question: when government goes out of its way to create new recognition for religious observances, will Christianity and its significance receive consistent treatment too? California is home to millions of Christians, and they have every right to scrutinize the priorities and values reflected in decisions coming out of Sacramento.
Jesus Christ is Lord whether government officials acknowledge Him or not. But believers also don’t have to remain silent about government decisions they disagree with. We should pay attention, speak truthfully about what our leaders are doing, stand firmly on Scripture and refuse to be intimidated into hiding our faith from public life. Governments and politicians come and go, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. ✝️📖

An extraordinary archaeological discovery connects the ancient world directly to biblical history! The Black Obelisk of Shalmaneser III, dating to approximately 825 BC, contains a remarkable scene depicting tribute from Jehu, King of Israel, to the powerful Assyrian ruler. The monument even names Jehu in its inscription, making it one of the earliest known depictions associated with an Israelite king outside Scripture. Jehu’s reign is recorded in 2 Kings 9–10, and this ancient Assyrian artifact provides independent historical evidence of his kingdom’s existence and its dealings with Assyria.
Nearly 2,800 years later, the stone still speaks! The Black Obelisk reminds us that the Bible describes real kings, real nations, and real events that unfolded in human history. Long before modern archaeologists uncovered these connections, Scripture preserved the names of these ancient rulers. The more we discover about the ancient world, the more fascinating the historical setting of God’s Word becomes. The Bible isn’t a collection of imaginary kingdoms—its history unfolded in the real world!

Isaiah 53:5 declares that the suffering servant would be pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities.
Jesus was later crucified, bearing suffering not for crimes of His own. The New Testament repeatedly connects Isaiah’s suffering servant with Jesus and what He accomplished through His death.
The cross wasn’t an accident. Jesus gave Himself for sinners.

Isaiah 53:7 describes the suffering servant as a lamb led to slaughter who does not open His mouth.
Centuries later, when Jesus stood accused before Pilate, Matthew 27:12–14 says He gave no answer to the accusations brought against Him, leaving the governor amazed.
Isaiah had written of the suffering servant generations before the crucifixion.
