CMRA @ CotA weekend recap
This was definitely the widest range of emotions for a weekend. The weekend began with the bike almost overheating in the first practice session due to a hole in the radiator from my ECR crash, making me think the weekend was over before it really started. Luckily I still had my OEM radiator in my spares bin.
Between that and the end of the weekend, I dropped my PB there by 8 seconds, had four podiums including a win, lost a 1st place two turns from the finish line due to a fuel miscalculation, plain running out of gas during a restarted race when I had been running in 2nd before the red flag, stalled on a start for the first time ever (still finished 5th), and had some great close racing with friends.
While not a win, the vid in this post was one of my best of the weekend. I was a late entry for the race so had to start on the 5th row. I had my best launch of the weekend (which still wasn't that great), entered T1 in 6th, and progressively made my way all the way to 3rd.
Thanks to all my sponsors who made it possible for me to be on the grid:

A couple strategic mistakes left me in P4, but dropped my PB by almost another full seconds to a 2:27.5.

The day ended way better than I ever could have guess based on how it started.
First session bike was overheating and after I got back to the pit I found a hole in the race radiator that I hadn't caught in my post-crash inspection. Luckily I still had my OEM radiator and missed session 2 letting the bike cool down doing the swap.
At the end of the day, after 2 qual sessions I look to be P3 on the grid for the races tomorrow.

Finally got the crash video updated. Took a bit longer since it's a 360 video, but it will let you move it around so you can watch it from multiple angles.
It's in 4k, so make sure you change the video resolution if it doesn't automatically go to the best option.

Crash analysis - data style
Checked out the Solo2 data this morning, mostly curious to see my speed when I exited the track. You can see the speed difference between the normal race line (red) and wreck race line (green). What really surprised me was how far I went off track compared to how far I made it through the turn even though i was similar in speed. Looks like I was going about 60 when exiting the track and 40 when the front washed out when I finally hit the front brakes, as it was either that of launch off the upcoming berm.

Did two stoppies into T11 at Eagles Canyon Raceway yesterday. Do NOT recommend!
Brakes felt soft, and was coming in very hot outbraking 2nd. Grabbed "a bit" more brake and the rear came up, and then started falling to the left so I let off and set the back down, realized still carrying way too much speed, more brakes, another stoppie (the one in the pic, see the shadow), then eased the brake again to set the bike back down before going off the track.
All CTs and x-rays were negative, just sore next and thumb today, but I got some meds for that. Doctor said I can thank my Bison suit, Helite airbag, and R1 Air carbon helmet for the lack of a broken anything.

Which one(s) to race this weekend with Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association, Inc. (CMRA) at Eagles Canyon Raceway?

Nice, consistent progress on the Ninja 300 this weekend. Data pulled from the Solo2 with first race at the bottom, going up to last race at the top. Ran my fastest lap on my last lap of the last race of the weekend, which was the 6th race on this bike, and racing the last three of them with only one race between each (race-off-race-off-race).
