Name Monday's first call before you sleep.
Own the hour. Let the inbox wait.
DM EJM Dynamic Technologies if you want that habit built into your week.

"Rethinking is a skill set, but it's also a mindset."
— Adam Grant, Wharton professor, Think Again
Grant opens the book with the BlackBerry. In 2009 it had nearly half of the U.S. smartphone market. By 2014 it was under 1 percent. Mike Lazaridis thought like a scientist when he built it, and Grant argues he stopped rethinking once he was running the company.
One habit worth trying on a Sunday night: write down one thing you believed about your business a year ago that turned out to be wrong. It's humbling, and it's useful.
What's something you've changed your mind about this year?
Share this with someone who's always willing to think again.
And if you'd like a second opinion on the tech side of your business before Monday, DM EJM Dynamic Technologies.

Who owns your Monday first hour —
your priorities, or your inbox?
One of those ships.
The other reacts.

"Getting the right people and the right chemistry is more important than getting the right idea."
— Ed Catmull, co-founder of Pixar, Creativity, Inc.
Catmull wrote about Toy Story 2. The core of the story stayed the same through the rework, but one version didn't work at all and the other moved people. The difference was the people working on it and how they worked together.
Small teams feel this more than anyone. In a five-person shop, one hire changes the whole week, for better or worse.
Good tools help, but they can't fix a team that doesn't talk. The automation projects that go well start with the people who'll use them every day.
Who's the person on your team who makes everyone else better?
Tag them in the comments so they hear it, and share this with someone who's hiring right now.

Sunday — Own the First Hour
Monday's first hour is already spoken for — unless you claim it tonight.
Decide the one call that matters. Refuse to open with the inbox. EJM Dynamic Technologies runs on that operator habit: quiet prep, then motion.
Comment "hour" if you're taking the first hour back, or DM us.

"It's easier to hold to your principles 100 percent of the time than it is to hold to them 98 percent of the time."
— Clayton M. Christensen, Harvard Business School professor, How Will You Measure Your Life?
Christensen told the story of sitting out a championship basketball game as a student in England because it fell on a Sunday, a commitment he'd made at sixteen. His team won without him. What he took from it was that life is one long stream of "just this once" moments.
Business works the same way. Skip the backup just this once. Send the proposal without a second read just this once. Each time it feels cheap.
Part of why I like building things into systems is that a system doesn't negotiate with itself on a Sunday night.
What's one standard in your business you won't bend on?
Share this with someone who could use the reminder before Monday.
Comment "line" and I'll send you the one habit that helps me hold mine.

Write down three credentials you'd trust in a partner.
Not slogans. Things you could verify.
Keep that list for Monday's calls.
DM EJM Dynamic Technologies if you want ours on the table.

"Good is the enemy of great."
— Jim Collins, Good to Great
It's the first line of the book. His argument is that most companies never become great because they're already good, and good is comfortable.
Saturday evening is a fair time to notice where "fine" has quietly become the standard. The process that works most of the time. The follow-up that happens when someone remembers.
Most of those aren't hard to fix. They just never feel urgent.
Where has "good enough" become the standard in your business?
Share this with someone who's good at what they do and wants more.
If one came to mind, DM EJM Dynamic Technologies. That's usually where we start.

When you vet a partner, do you stop at the pitch —
or do you check for verifiable roots?
Alumni. Boards. Years in the work.
Proof beats polish.

"The essence of strategy is choosing what not to do."
— Michael E. Porter, "What Is Strategy?" Harvard Business Review, 1996
Porter's example was Southwest Airlines: no meals, no assigned seats. Those gaps were part of the strategy.
For a small business, the hardest no is usually a customer who's a bad fit, or a service you only offer because someone asked for it once. Dropping those is how you get really good at the rest.
Tech works the same way. The setups that hold up best do fewer things and do them every time.
What's one thing your business should stop offering?
Share this with someone who says yes to everything.
Comment "cut" and I'll send you three questions for deciding what to drop.
