More pictures from our visit to Lynnewood Hall in Elkins Park, PA. It's a 110-room neoclassical revival mansion. It was designed by Horace Trumbauer who also designed the Philadelphia Art Museum. Tragically, the home has suffered significant wear and deterioration after the last Widener died in 1943. But soon, the mansion will be restored to it's original glory!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing today to Lynnewood Hall in Elkins Park, PA! We explored a curated collection of stunning, one-of-a-kind fresh floral mannequins displayed throughout this extraordinary Gilded Age estate. The exhibition beautifully celebrates the glamour and intrigue of The Gilded Age, inspired by Julian Fellowes’ acclaimed drama set in late 19th-century New York.

After decades out of public view, Lynnewood Hall is now open to the public for the first time in over 84 years, offering a rare glimpse into its historic elegance. Our residents were delighted to experience the mansion’s grandeur and the spectacular floral storytelling that brought the era’s ambition and social change to life.

Our residents had a wonderful day trip to Lebanon, PA to visit Waterford Horse Farm, owned by our very own Resident Experience Director, Karen, and her husband Tim!

We were treated to an up-close look at their beautiful American Saddlebred show horses. Kiershtiana, who also works at Rose Tree Place, gave an impressive demonstration with her horse, Kiwi, showing us the walk, trot, and canter gaits. It was a joy to watch the moms and their adorable foals in the pastures.

Tim shared fascinating insights into the daily operations of running a breeding horse farm, giving us a new appreciation for the dedication and care involved. Thank you to the Waterford Horse Farm team for such a memorable and educational experience!

Our recent Art Show at Rose Tree Place was a true highlight! Pat brought in a beautiful collection of American landscape artwork from a variety of talented artists, taking us on a visual journey from New York to California. Residents loved learning about each piece as Pat shared the stories, techniques, and inspiration behind the art. Thank you, Pat, for making the afternoon so engaging and for helping us appreciate the beauty and history of American landscapes together!

What a memorable afternoon at Rose Tree Place! Our residents enjoyed a delightful horse carriage ride around our beautiful 16-acre property. Midnight Star and Smokey, our wonderful horses, did a fantastic job guiding us through the scenic grounds. Smiles, laughter, and a sense of adventure made this experience truly special for everyone. Thank you to our amazing team (and horses!) for creating such joyful moments together.

We kicked off Assisted Living Week with an unforgettable performance by Dean impersonator Elvis! Our residents truly love his talent and energy—he brought smiles, laughter, and classic hits to Rose Tree Place. Thank you, Dean, for making our community feel so special!

Our residents had an unforgettable day at Elmwood Zoo! We fed the giraffes and enjoyed a special classroom session where we got to see and touch some amazing animals up close. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, learn, and make lasting memories together.

Our residents had a sweet time making their very own homemade peach ice cream! We started with frozen peaches, added creamy sweetened condensed milk, and blended it all together to create a delicious frozen treat.
