🛫 For CABEs next adventure… MCO!🛫

CABE students had another incredible opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Orlando International Airport! ✈️

During the tour, students spoke to Florida Tech alumni and gained firsthand insight into several major airport operations and projects, including the Runway 36L construction, the Airport Operations Center (AOC), the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) station, and the Terminal C baggage handling systems!

A huge thank you to the Orlando International Airport team for giving our students such an informative and memorable experience. Opportunities like this allow our students to see what they learn in the classroom come to life in the aviation industry!

✈️ CABE Summer Recap Pt. 2 ✈️

Towards the end of July, CABE had the opportunity to attend the Florida Airports Council (FAC) 57th annual conference in Fort Lauderdale!

During the opening ceremony, two of our amazing students, Noa Hollander and Raldayne Thomas, were presented with FAC scholarships! This amazing accomplishment shows how much aviation has to offer for students here at Florida Tech.

Noa Hollander and Cassidy Reale even connected with a few Tony Jannus board members that they met at last year’s gala! What an amazing group of people.

This conference offered so many opportunities for our students including networking with industry professionals, reestablishing connections, and learning more about airports in general.

Stay tuned for more!!

Another successful general meeting this semester ✈️

We had the chance to go over our e-board positions, upcoming conferences, and give the students some swag from the AAAE conference as well!

Thank you to all of you who came for the first time. We are so glad you could join us and we hope to see you again!

Stay updated for our FIT alumni guest speaker on Oct 19…✈️

During spring finals week, CABE had the amazing opportunity to attend the AAAE Annual Conference in Los Angeles! 🌴🎡✈️

The conference was an incredibly informative experience, giving us the chance to learn more about the aviation industry, hear from industry professionals, and connect with countless alumni!

We also had the unforgettable opportunity to tour NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB! 🚀 While there, we got an inside look at some incredible aerospace research and even saw the X-59 fly! 👀✈️

From expanding our industry knowledge to seeing aviation innovation firsthand, it was an experience we won’t forget.

Stay tuned for CABE Summer Recap Pt. 2! ☀️✈️

✈️ Our second CABE meeting of the semester was a success!

A special thank you to Zachary Miller, Crew Planning Consultant at Southwest Airlines, for taking the time to share insights into his role, career journey, and valuable internship tips with our students.

It was a great opportunity to learn more about the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the aviation industry moving and to explore another exciting career path within aviation. Thank you, Zachary, for sharing your experience and advice with CABE! ✈️

Make sure to come out to the CABE meeting tonight! This is your opportunity to get a look at one of the many positions in aviation that you want to know more about. ✈️

CABE had an amazing time touring the Melbourne International airport on Friday!

Students had the opportunity to go through the terminal, see ARFF operations, and even peek into the air traffic control tower.

Thank you so much to Stephanie Betts and the others that helped organize this tour. Students learned so much as this was their first airport tour! hope to come back next semester and learn even more about your day to day operations.
