Tech901 is a Memphis-based nonprofit providing career-focused technology training built around industry-recognized certifications.
Tech901 is a Memphis-based nonprofit helping adults build technology skills, earn industry certifications, and connect to career opportunities across the Mid-South. Support from employers, foundations, and community partners allows us to significantly reduce the cost of training for our students. Our programs are designed for adults entering technology from different starting points, with clear prerequisites and pathways that build skills and certifications along the way. Courses are instructor-led and hybrid, combining live instruction with required in-person experiences, including orientation, labs, assessments, and certification exams. Students are expected to actively participate, meet course requirements, pursue certification, and stay connected with Tech901 as they move toward their career goals.
When your students are this smart, talented, and driven, you have a lot to be excited about. 😭💚
Our instructors get to watch Tech901 students learn, grow, and take those skills into what’s next. And honestly, they’re pretty proud of the people coming through these classrooms. 👏🏽
And the opportunities are real. 👀 FedEx TechConnect has hired 51+ Tech901 grads.
Are you one of them? 👀
Or you could be next! 💻

Ask Aaron Lamey what he’s proudest of, and he won’t point to the numbers. 👀
“I’m proud when a student realizes they can do this. Getting the certification matters, but seeing them build the confidence to take the next step in their career is what sticks with me.”
As Tech901’s Executive Director, Aaron gets to see that growth happen firsthand. From learning the fundamentals to earning certifications and stepping into new career opportunities, he’s focused on helping students build the skills and confidence to take that next step.
That’s what keeps him invested in making tech education accessible to Memphis and creating a place where students feel supported throughout their journey.

Memphis just got another place to build tech. That’s a win for all of us. 💻🚀
Tech901 was proud to join nearly 40 organizations and community partners at the grand opening of LeMoyne-Owen College’s Technology Innovation & Research Center (TIRC).
Spaces like TIRC create more opportunities for students, professionals, and future tech talent to learn, connect, and build right here in Memphis.
We’re excited to see where this new chapter takes Memphis’ tech community and proud to be part of it!
Congratulations, ! 🎉
