Memphis Rottweiler Rescue

Anyone recognize this girl??
Found in Germantown, TN.

She is currently at the Germantown Animal Shelter.

Does anyone recognize this sweet girl? 🐶 She was found tied to a tree near the horse arena. We aren't sure if a Good Samaritan found her as a stray and secured her, or if she was left there, but we know she didn't tie herself up! We want to make sure there isn't a worried owner out there looking for her. If you have any information, please send us a message or call the shelter. Please share to help us find her family! 🐾

Picked up by owner 🥰

Brutus is in need of foster or forever home!

Brutus is still waiting for a foster or forever home. Please share his profile to help us reach more people in hopes of finally finding him a home. Staying in boarding for an extended period of time is extremely stressful for him.

Brut is strong, athletic, and full of energy. The most ideal home for him would be one without small kids, small dogs or cats.

It would be easiest to transition him into a home where he’s the only dog and could have his foster/adopter’s undivided attention as he gets settled in. If he goes to a home where there is already a resident dog (medium or large size dog), the resident dog would need to be OK with having a higher energy, active dog in their home.

‼️Statement from Critical Memphis Page Admins:
We are Not the shelter. We are networkers. Our page raises pledges to help 501c3 rescues that pull urgent dogs from MAS. If you pledge on a dog, once a MAS approved 501c3 pet placement partner (rescue) commits and pulls the dog that you pledged for, we put donors and rescue into a group message. You will then donate directly to that rescue - for that particular dog.
If the dog is adopted (or sadly, euthanized) no pledges are collected.

🫶🏼Thank you for helping to fight for these lives. Every share, message, and action matters.

We are expecting dangerously low temperatures this weekend. 🥶

PLEASE BRING YOUR PETS INSIDE‼️

Even if your pet normally lives outside full time, PLEASE consider bringing them inside your home when temperatures are this low. Put them in a bathroom, laundry room, or anywhere you can INSIDE of a heated structure. Temps this low can quickly turn deadly for pets that are left outside for an extended period of time. This is especially true for dogs with short hair and lean bodies (Pit Bulls).

If you or someone you know has a pet that will be left outside for any period of time, PLEASE make sure they have adequate shelter.

IGLOO dog houses are the best option for cold weather. The extended entrance on the Igloo helps to shield pets from wind and rain while they are inside the Igloo.

Dog houses need to be insulted and have a thick layer of straw inside. Straw is the best option for bedding because it wicks away moisture. Do NOT use blankets, towels or dog beds since they retain moisture and will freeze once the temperature drops below 32*.

Elevating the dog house off of the cold ground can help, too. Bricks/Blocks can be used to elevate the dog house off the ground.

In addition to keeping your own pets safe and warm, please be sure to keep an eye out for your neighbors’ pets and stray animals. If you see an animal chained in a yard or being left outside alone in the cold for an extended period time, PLEASE REPORT IT! If you see something, say something! It could be a matter of life or death for that animal.

To report an animal in danger, call your local animal control/animal shelter. If it’s after regular business hours, call your local police department.
