If you missed Red Sand Project last week, here’s a little glimpse into our beautiful morning together! ❤️
We poured red sand to honor those who fall through the cracks and bring awareness to the systemic gaps that allow exploitation and human trafficking to thrive. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

On National Trafficking in Persons Day (July 30th), our community came together to make the unseen visible.
Red Sand Project (Red Sand Project) is a global awareness initiative that uses red sand to represent those who have fallen through the cracks in our systems, leaving them vulnerable to human trafficking and exploitation. By pouring sand in these cracks together, we acknowledge these realities and commit to creating communities where no one is overlooked.
Thank you to the Memphis Area Transit Authority (Memphis Area Transit Authority) for partnering with us to host this incredibly meaningful event. Your continued commitment to raising awareness and creating a safer Shelby County makes a huge impact, and we are grateful for your partnership!
A special thank you to Keeping It P (Keeping It 🅿️ | Memphis Creative Arts Collaborative)for creating and performing the powerful spoken word piece featured in this video, and to Naomi Lee and Lauryn McHatch with Young Actors Guild (YAGMemphis) for sharing your gifts through dance and music. Each of your artistries gave voice to our mission in such a powerful way.
Thank you to every community member, partner, and advocate who stood with us on Thursday. It was such a beautiful morning of awareness and hope as we united against human trafficking and committed ourselves to empowering survivors, equipping communities, and changing systems.

Pizza by the Pool - 11/10 🤩🏊♀️🍕
We had SUCH a great time this past Thursday during Summer Group! Youth and adult survivors (+ our team!) enjoyed a beautiful day splashing around at For The Kingdom Memphis. We love getting to bring everyone together to have fun and spend time in community!

On Saturday, we had the privilege of hosting our incredible volunteers for “Volunteer Roundtable: Shaping What’s Next!” 🩵🧡
This gathering created space to connect, listen, and dream together about the future of volunteer engagement. We had meaningful conversations about how we can continue strengthening our volunteer program and explored new ways our volunteers can be part of the work.
A HUGE thank you to every volunteer who joined us! Your time and commitment remind us that meaningful change happens in community. We are deeply grateful to have people who are invested in our mission and who choose to walk alongside us and the survivors we serve.

This past Friday, youth and adult survivors enjoyed a fun and relaxing head-to-toe experience at Gould’s Academy!
In addition to facials and pedicures, we spent time playing games, making bracelets, and coloring together.
A special thank you to Shannon Erwin and the incredible Gould’s Academy students for generously providing all services at no cost and to our awesome volunteers for showing up to fellowship with us. Your kindness helped create a day filled with self-care and joy!

Throughout the summer, our Survivor Care Team has been planning group activities that encourage self-care, creativity, movement, friendship, and fun. We know that healing happens in lots of different ways!
Adult survivors closed out June programming at Main Event Memphis. We had a GREAT time bowling, playing laser tag & arcade games, and eating a yummy meal!
A special thank you to Main Event Memphis for providing such an incredible experience for our group! We are also so grateful for the amazing volunteers who joined us, including Freed Life board member Dr. Audrey Elion. Your time, encouragement, and presence helped make the day even more special 🧡
