Memorial Day is more than a holiday weekend. It is a sacred day of remembrance rooted in honor, sacrifice, and gratitude. 🇺🇸

Many historians trace the origins of Memorial Day to formerly enslaved African Americans in Charleston, South Carolina, who gathered after the Civil War to properly bury and honor Union soldiers who fought for freedom and justice. Their act of love, dignity, and remembrance helped shape what we now recognize as Memorial Day.

Today, we continue that tradition by honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to this country. We remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the families who carry their legacy forward every day.
