As we wrap up our Men of Binghampton series, we’re reflecting on the remarkable individuals who have shared their stories with us this year 💙

From community leaders and mentors to fathers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers, each feature offered a glimpse into the people whose dedication and character help make Binghampton such a special place.

We’re grateful to every man who allowed us to spotlight their journey and to everyone who took the time to read, support, and celebrate them along the way.

Thank you for joining us in recognizing the men who lead, serve, inspire, and strengthen Binghampton. Here’s to continuing to celebrate the people who make our community thrive!

Next up is Dewayne Webb!

Dewayne faithfully leads the AA meetings at Binghampton Community Church and serves in so many areas, including the mobile food pantry and helping Pastor Shun on Sundays by picking up members in the neighborhood. He is always smiling, always willing to help, and always praising the Lord.

Next up is Pastor Rosman Randle!

Pastor Rosman T. Randle serves the Church of God in Christ in numerous capacities, including Adjutant Overseer and Jurisdictional Administrative Assistant. A dedicated philanthropist, he has established several organizations to support the social and economic needs of youth and families in the Binghampton community. Since being appointed Pastor of Zion Temple Church of God in Christ in 2000, he has remained committed to serving both God’s people and the community with excellence.

Thank you, Pastor Randle, for faithfully serving your congregation!

Next up is Wailes Niyukuri!

Mr. Wailes Niyukuri is Community Dad Extraordinaire. He is a treasured local pastor, quadrilingual cultural navigator, successful business owner, dedicated friend, humble servant of Christ, and fantastic father to 300 children. Smiles are his specialty, and his laugh lights up the room. You can always hear him coming, and you are always glad to see him.

Wailes is a man who never lets you down!

Next up is Conrad Staton!

Conrad Staton is the Garden Manager and one of the newest members of the Carpenter Art Garden team.

Conrad has already become an invaluable part of the organization through his leadership, steady presence, and deep commitment to community wellness. As Garden Manager, he brings not only knowledge of urban agriculture and sustainable growing practices, but also a genuine passion for using food as a tool for connection, healing, and empowerment.

We appreciate Conrad’s heart for growing fresh, healthy food that nourishes families in Binghampton and expands access to healthy food options in our neighborhood. His work helps cultivate more than gardens—he helps cultivate belonging, stewardship, and hope.

Thank you, Conrad, for all you do at Carpenter Art Garden and for the Binghampton community!

Next up is Garrett Sayles!

Garrett has worked at Eikon Ministries for the past two years, faithfully serving the community and investing in the lives of young people. From leading Boys2Men and helping lead Club Nathan on Tuesday nights to assisting with produce distributions for families, Garrett consistently demonstrates a heart for service.

Garrett’s dedication to mentoring students, building relationships in local schools, and investing in young men has made a real difference. We’re thankful for his commitment, servant-hearted leadership, and the positive impact he continues to have on the people around him.

Thank you, Garrett, for all you do!

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce that the Civil War had ended and that all enslaved people were free. This historic news came more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth honors a long-awaited freedom and serves as a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and enduring contributions of Black Americans. It is a day to reflect on our history, celebrate progress, and reaffirm our commitment to justice, equity, and opportunity for all.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, let’s honor the past, celebrate the present, and build a brighter future together.

Next up is Wade West!

Wade West is one of the founders of Memphis Gridiron Ministries, an outreach ministry created to administer, support, and oversee youth tackle football in inner-city Memphis. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for MGM, demonstrating a continued dedication to serving the kids of Binghampton.

Thank you, Wade, for your leadership, service, and commitment to the youth of Binghampton and the mission of Memphis Gridiron Ministries!
