Memphis Library Foundation

Our executive director, Christine Weinreich, and Chris Haley of Underground Art (Underground Art) met with Action News 5 this week to discuss our ongoing Library Love Is Permanent campaign. We're partnering with tattoo artists across Memphis who have designed unique literary-themed flash options for people to permanently show their love for libraries! Get inked by a participating partner before the end of the month, and 40% of the proceeds will support programming and resources at all Memphis Public Libraries branches. Check out our instagram for info on participating artists!

Young chefs, big dreams, and even bigger smiles. 👩🏽‍🍳👨🏽‍🍳🍓

Last week at the Raleigh Library, Innovator-in-Residence Jasmen Richmond brought learning to life through a hands-on cooking camp where kids explored healthy recipes, built confidence in the kitchen, and discovered that cooking can be both fun and empowering.

Made possible through the generous support of the Memphis Library Foundation, this program gave participants the opportunity to learn valuable life skills, spark creativity, and create lasting memories one recipe at a time.

Thank you Jasmen, and to everyone who helped make this experience possible!

We're excited to introduce to you our newest intern, Dominic Brown! Dominic is spending his time in Memphis between terms at Loyola University New Orleans, where he's pursuing his MBA. He'll be supporting the Foundation with our content marketing and storytelling to help us enhance our relationships with donors, library patrons and the Mid-South as a whole. Learn more about Dominic on our Substack and be sure to subscribe to catch his future content.
