Tomorrow is the day! We have worked hard to bring you a great auction with 20 chilis in the cook off list for you to sample, over 50 w**es in our pull (thank you Sandra for a huge portion of these) and at least 13 really amazing bourbons! Thank you Busters, Aaron, Christopher, Kevin and LWML for donating this collection. Please remember this is a fundraiser for our adopted school in Haiti PLUS organizations that we serve locally or nationally. All funds go directly to help each one of these. So, please give generously!

The silent auction is well on it's way! We have had some gracious donations from businesses and congregational members! We are so grateful! It is that time of year! W**E PULL! BATTLE OF THE BOURBONS! THE NUTCRACKER MARCH! ENTERTAINMENT AND TONS OF FOOD! We hope you will soon be up to creating your winning chili, while we try and gather auction items to make this a fun event! Faith in Action presented a $2,000 check to the JOB Comfort Dog Ministry in celebration of his 11th birthday and for his continuation in his career to serve those in need. This check is proudly donated and is possible due to our fundraising efforts from the Chili Bowl. Along with our adopted school in Haiti, Faith in Action also seeks to support our own church missions and other non-profits, such as crosses for new homeowners graduating from Habitat for Humanity, the Down Syndrome Association and One More Child, among others. All of these are made possible by your support of and donations to our Annual Chili Auction Event. We thank you whole-heartedly.

We had so many extra donations that we ordered more backpacks, and yesterday, we put together an extra 24 backpacks filled with comfort, devotional, and basic needs supplies for One More Child to pick up. We are so thankful for the many offerings of items that were requested and the help of our donors!~

Thank you to everyone who participated in our 3rd Annual Survival Backpacks for ONE MORE CHILD, an organization that provides assistance to survivors of trafficking in the Memphis and surrounding area. We were blessed to be able to put together 48 backpacks with items donated from the congregation and through a Thrivent Grant. We were also fortunate to have the LWML group from Messiah Lutheran Church join us in gathering and purchasing items that were needed, in addition to helping us fill them. With their help, we were able to purchase more backpacks and will be filling those in addition to the intial 48. Thank you! It was also great to see so many of our CTK youth join in and listen to our speaker about warning signs and what they do to help other youth and adults in various situations. A special shout out to Liam Haggerty for cooking all of our pizzas so we could have an amazing lunch and to our FIA members who are so dedicated to making this happen each year.
