Goals!
Breast milk is the ideal first food for a baby.
It's safe, clean and contains antibodies which protect against dangerous illnesses.
☑️ Start within 1 hour after birth
☑️ Breastfeed exclusively for the first 6 months
☑️ Continue alongside healthy family foods until the baby is at least 2 years old

This chart shows the average amount of breast milk babies drink per day.
Every baby eats a little differently, but here’s a simple look at the average amount of breast milk babies drink during their first year.
In the first few weeks, babies slowly increase how much they eat in a day.
By about 3–6 months, most babies will plateau meaning they drink about the same amount each day, even though they grow a lot during this time.
(Keep in mind your breast milk is always changing. Even if the volume stays the same, the content of your milk changes to meet your baby’s needs.)
After 6 months, milk intake usually goes down a little as solids become a bigger part of their diet.
💛 This chart shows general average ranges, not exact numbers your baby must follow.
💛 Every baby is different, and their intake can change day to day.
💛 This is not medical advice. Always follow your baby’s hunger cues and talk to your pediatrician or lactation professional if you have questions.
You’re doing an amazing job, mama. 🫶
Hey Sis!
We're thinking of pulling up poolside Saturday, July 18th. Nothing too official, just to see your face, celebrate another successful year, and to cool off from some of this Memphis heat.
If you happen to be free (and have your family's free pool pass cards), come through, cool off, and dip a toe in with us!
