RISE Memphis is excited to announce Steve Voss as a new member of its Board of Directors. Steve serves as Chief Operations Officer of Huey’s Restaurants, one of Memphis’s most beloved institutions.
With more than 30 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Steve has spent 23 years with Huey’s playing a key role in growing the company from five to ten locations. In his current role, he oversees manager development, new store openings, business strategy, and daily operations across all departments.
Steve is a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Memphis. He has served on the Memphis Restaurant Association Board of Directors and credits his passion for the industry to a lifetime of hard work, dedication, and a love for people.

RISE Memphis is excited to announce Christopher Xa as a new member of its Board of Directors. Christopher serves as Chief Insight and Operations Officer at CodeCrew, a Memphis-based nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science, artificial intelligence, and technology workforce opportunities for youth and adults.
With more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, Christopher oversees organizational operations, strategic planning, finance, workforce development, and large-scale partnerships that advance economic mobility through technology education. His work has helped secure major investments through partnerships with the NSF, NBA Foundation, Google, the Delta Regional Authority, and more. He also leads CodeCrew’s expansion into North Memphis, including the development of a new AI workforce training hub.
Christopher holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Memphis.

RISE Memphis is excited to announce Benita Anderson-Williams as a new member of its Board of Directors.
Benita serves as Executive Director of Business Development for Sage Disability and is the Co-Founder of The Advocacy Foundation.
With more than 20 years of experience as a disability advocate, community leader, and social impact strategist, Benita leads Sage Disability’s strategic partnerships and national advocacy initiatives — expanding access to disability support services and driving innovative solutions that improve outcomes for individuals navigating some of life’s most challenging moments.
Benita is also deeply committed to financial literacy and has been an active participant in RISE Memphis programs, including her support of the Silver Neighbors initiative. She holds the prestigious IRIS Award from Baptist Hospital Collierville for exceptional service and resides in Collierville, Tennessee with her husband and four children.
