5. Users will be notified of any content removal.
6. Repeat violators of this policy may be banned from all future posts. The Merced County Social Media Policy, Social Media Acceptable Use Policy, Anti-Harassment and Discrimination Policy, and Information Technology Acceptable Use Policy apply to this account.

This week, we’re highlighting the Service Center Team! 💙
The Service Center Team helps individuals and families apply for and navigate health coverage programs, including Medi-Cal and Covered California, with applications accepted in person, by mail, fax, or online through BenefitsCal.com.
But did you know the Service Center serves an even broader role? 📞
The team also operates as a regional call center, accepting calls transferred directly from Covered California when individuals are screened as potentially eligible for Medi-Cal.
🌎 This means the team may assist callers from any of California’s 58 counties—not just Merced County!
Need help with a health coverage application or have questions about Medi-Cal eligibility?

A Look Back at This Week 📸 | Community, Connection & Collaboration
It was a meaningful week for the Merced County Human Services Agency as our team had the opportunity to participate in two events focused on strengthening connections within our community.
🎓 UC Merced Community Partner Jamboree
Hosted by the Community Engagement Center, the annual Community Partner Jamboree brings students together with local nonprofits, public agencies, schools, and community organizations to learn about opportunities to get involved beyond the classroom.
As a public agency serving Merced County, HSA was pleased to connect with students, share ways they can engage with their community, and introduce opportunities that may align with their interests, career goals, and passion for public service.
👧 Merced County Children’s Summit
We also had the opportunity to participate in the Children’s Summit, “Children and Screens: The Challenges of the New Digital Childhood.” The event brought community partners and professionals together to discuss the evolving digital environment surrounding children and families and the importance of promoting healthy, informed technology habits.
We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow us to connect, listen, learn, and collaborate with our community partners.

¡Esta semana, el equipo de la Agencia de Servicios Humanos del Condado de Merced tuvo la oportunidad de participar en dos eventos enfocados en fortalecer las conexiones con nuestra comunidad!
🎓 Feria de Socios Comunitarios de UC Merced
Este evento anual, organizado por el Centro de Participación Comunitaria de UC Merced, conecta a estudiantes con organizaciones locales, agencias públicas, escuelas y grupos comunitarios.
Nuestro equipo tuvo la oportunidad de conectar con estudiantes, compartir información sobre cómo pueden involucrarse en su comunidad y presentar oportunidades relacionadas con el servicio público, el voluntariado, proyectos comunitarios y sus futuras metas profesionales.
👧 Cumbre de los Niños del Condado de Merced
También participamos en la Cumbre de los Niños, “Los niños y las pantallas: Los desafíos de la nueva infancia digital.” El evento reunió a colaboradores y profesionales de la comunidad para conversar sobre el entorno digital en constante evolución y su relación con los niños y las familias.

La Asociación de Gobiernos del Condado de Merced (MCAG, por sus siglas en inglés) está recopilando encuestas y organizando una serie de audiencias públicas como parte de su proceso anual de Necesidades de Transporte No Satisfechas. Estas encuestas y audiencias tienen como objetivo recopilar las opiniones de la comunidad sobre posibles deficiencias en los servicios de transporte público del condado.
¡Complete la encuesta y díganos qué piensa! Se invita a los miembros de la comunidad a compartir sus experiencias y preocupaciones relacionadas con las opciones de transporte público existentes, así como a sugerir áreas donde podrían ser necesarios servicios nuevos o ampliados. Los comentarios recopilados a través de las encuestas y durante las audiencias ayudarán a MCAG a determinar cuáles necesidades de transporte podrían ser razonables de atender.
La encuesta está disponible en cuatro idiomas: inglés, español, hmong y panyabí, en el sitio web de MCAG en www.mcagov.org/UnmetTransitNeeds .
