Reminder: Tomorrow (Aug. 5) is the first Wednesday of the month and that means the Merced County Clerk-Recorder will be in Los Banos! If you need to file a fictitious business name statement, obtain a certified copy of a certificate, apply for a marriage license, or more, stop by the Merced County Spring Fair at 403 F Street in Los Banos!

Additional details:
Merced County is making it easier for west side residents to access important County services through a new six-month pilot program. Beginning July 1, Clerk-Recorder staff will be available at the Merced County Spring Fair, 403 F Street in Los Banos, on the first Wednesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents can obtain certified copies of birth, death, and marriage certificates, file fictitious business name statements, apply for and complete marriage licenses, and complete various professional registrations. This pilot program brings essential County services closer to home, reducing travel time and making it more convenient for west side communities to do business with Merced County.

Fields Fire Update: The evacuation warning and road closure along Merced Falls Road (between La Grange Road and Hornitos Road) in Snelling will be lifted at noon today (Sunday). The evacuation shelter will also close at noon. Firefighters will continue working in the area in the coming days, so please use caution if traveling through. Henderson Park will remain closed at this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding as emergency personnel responded to this incident.

***EVACUATION ORDER updated 7/24 @8:42pm***

Sheriff Vern Warnke has issued an evacuation ORDER from the 5800 block of Merced Falls Road to the county line. The evacuation shelter is at Snelling Elementary School. 16099 N. Highway 59, Snelling, CA 95369.

Remember to gather all important documents, medication, device chargers, and animals.
