Eleanor had a wonderful time meeting all of the runners at the Gateway to Yosemite 5k 10k run yesterday. Thank you to everyone who ran and helped take part in raising funds for an enhanced tortoise exhibit here at the zoo! A huge shoutout to City of Merced Parks and Recreation City of Merced | California and Merced County Office of Education for making this event possible and a huge thank you to the other local groups who donated and supported us.
Every Pace Wins the Race! Elroy and Eleanor, the sulcata tortoises, would love to see you all there! 🐢
Our mermaid and pirate friends have set sail for the sea but they had so much fun celebrating with you all this year! Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope to see you all again at next year's Mermaid and Pirates event!
It's the final day of Mermaids and Pirates at Applegate Zoo! Be sure you join in the fun before it's too late! With foam cannons, a bounce house, water fun and more, it's an event you don't want to miss! The magic lasts from 10:00 to 2:00... "SEA" you there!

It's time to head on down to the Merced Applegate Zoo for Mermaids and Pirates! From 10:00 to 2:00 there will be lots of fun ways to beat this summer heat! Come say hi to your mermaid friends or chat with a friendly pirate! We can't wait to see you here!
