Nearly four years ago, Mercy Medical Center Merced Foundation took a bold step by providing seed money to launch a specialized Obstetric Emergency Department (OB ED). Today, we are proud to celebrate the success of that vision!

The OB ED is now fully operational and serving our community 24/7. Because of that initial investment, expectant mothers in our region have immediate access to board-certified obstetricians and specialized care the moment they walk through our doors—no matter their medical history or prior relationship with an OB/GYN.

From the first seed planted by our donors to the life-saving care provided today, we are so proud to support the health of our local families. Thank you to everyone who made this vision a reality!

Heritage Club members joined us for an informative evening of fellowship with our hospital leadership. We discussed the latest updates on our surgical services and our roadmap for the future of care at Mercy Medical Center.

A little bear makes a big difference. Today is National Teddy Bear Day, and at the Mercy Medical Center Merced Foundation, our favorite bears are the ones that bring comfort to our youngest patients. Through our Project CALM initiative, we are proud to provide teddy bears to children visiting our Emergency Department. We know that hospitals can be big, loud, and sometimes a little scary—especially for a child. A teddy bear isn't just a toy; it’s a companion. It’s a source of security that helps turn a stressful treatment into a moment of calm. These bears are made possible through the kindness of our donors. Thank you for helping us provide "comfort care" to the little ones who need it most.
