Getting between campuses has never been easier.
Promise Housing is a new housing option that allows eligible Merced College students to live on UC Merced's campus while continuing their education at Merced College.
Merced College students receive free public transit by simply showing their student ID. While living on the UC Merced campus, residents will also have access to CatTracks, UC Merced's campus shuttle service, at no additional cost.
Getting to class, campus resources, and around the community has never been more convenient.

Welcome to Merced College, Coach Padilla!
Merced College is excited to welcome Salinda Padilla as the new head coach of the Blue Devils Women's Basketball program.
A respected coach and educator with deep Central Valley ties, Coach Padilla brings decades of coaching experience to Merced College. During her time at Turlock High School, she led her teams to four undefeated league championships while mentoring student-athletes who went on to compete at the four-year level. She also played collegiately at Riverside Community College and CSU Stanislaus, where her team finished as the NCAA Division III national runner-up.
Coach Padilla is passionate about developing student-athletes who excel both on and off the court, and we're excited to welcome her to the Blue Devil family.

Under Dr. Barker's leadership, Merced College welcomed its first students at the Merced County Fairgrounds and opened its permanent campus in 1967, laying the foundation for the College we know today.
More than 60 years later, the vision Dr. Barker helped shape continues through the thousands of students who choose Merced College each year to begin their own journey.

For Merced College nursing professor Marit Medefind-Bond, living with Type 1 diabetes has never stopped her from pursuing her passion for nursing and education.
For more than a decade, her service dog, Prim, has been by her side, trained to detect dangerous changes in her blood sugar and alert her before an emergency. Together, they made it through nursing school, clinical rotations, and years of teaching the next generation of nurses at Merced College.
This summer, Prim officially retired at 13 years old, surrounded by students who celebrated her years of faithful service. While Prim enjoys a well-earned retirement, Professor Medefind-Bond has been matched with a new service dog, Kahanu, to continue providing the support she relies on every day.
