Introducing your 2026-2027 GV FFA Chapter Historian, Fernanda Cortes ๐๐ผ Fernanda is a Senior who enjoys being outdoors, caring for animals, and competing on the Vet Science CDE Team. Outside of the FFA, she is one of the captains of both the Cross Country and Track & Field teams, where she hopes to continue her running career at the collegiate level, and serves as the Vice President for Paws for a Cause, an organization dedicated to helping animals. After high school, Fernanda plans to continue her education in Animal Science or Biology while working toward her lifelong goal of becoming a large animal veterinarian. A few fun facts about Fernanda are that agriculture is a big part of her everyday life, she lives on a ranch where she spends her time horseback riding, caring for her horse, and helping raise Angus cattle and chickens. This year, she is also taking on a new challenge by raising and showing her first steer, Bo, where she continues to grow her knowledge and passion for the livestock industry. She also had the opportunity to compete at Nike Outdoor Nationals, representing her school among some of the top athletes in the nation. As your 2026-2027 GV FFA Chapter Historian, Fernanda hopes to capture the memories and accomplishments of the chapter while encouraging members to take advantage of every opportunity FFA provides.

Introducing your 2026โ2027 GV FFA Chapter Parliamentarian, Jack Crivelli ๐๐ผ Jack is a sophomore who enjoys running his own 20-acre alfalfa farming operation, and working as a part-time employee on his fifth-generation family farm, Crivelli Farms. He has dedicated himself to FFA, competing in activities such as Project Competition and is a member of the Farm Power team. He also shoots trap for the Golden Valley Clay Cats and plays baseball for GVHS. After high school, he hopes to attend the United States Air Force Academy. Some fun facts about Jack are that he used to play AAA ice hockey as a goalie for the San Jose Jr. Sharks where he competed in several states, including Minnesota and Montana. He has also known how to operate farming equipment since he was four years old, drove his first tractor by himself at six years old, and was finally able to operate his familyโs cotton picker for the first time last harvest season. One thing Jack is excited about this year as an officer is learning and implementing parliamentary procedure to its fullest extent, while also spreading the word about FFA opportunities and representing the organization to the best of his abilities.
