ONLYBULLS OPEN WHEEL SHOWDOWN RACES INTO LAS VEGAS NOVEMBER 5-7

The definitive pavement short track open wheel event races into the newly remodeled Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 5-7 with the OnlyBulls Open Wheel Showdown presented by askROI. Over 300 pre-entered teams compete in the Winged Sprints, Non-Wing Sprint Cars, Super Modifieds, Modifieds, Legends, and Bandoleros on the .375-mile oval. Racers compete for record-breaking purses at record-breaking speeds in the must-see event of the year.

Racing on Friday November 6 kicks off the Open Wheel Showdown with the Honest Abe Roofing Qualifying Night. Elliott's Custom Trailers & Carts Non-Wing Sprint Cars compete for a lucrative $10,000 to win payday in a 75-lap feature. Friday also includes qualifying night heat race and lower main action for the Winged Sprint Cars and Modifieds.

Three-time Open Wheel Showdown winner Kody Swanson of Kingsburg, Calif. headlines the Non-Wing entry list along with inaugural Open Wheel Showdown winner Aaron Willison of British Columbia, Canada, three-time Showdown podium finisher Bobby Santos of Franklin, Mass., Little 500 winner Jake Trainor, multi-time USAC Western Sprint Car champion Tony Hunt, and many more. Nearly 60 teams will take on the challenge for the inaugural Non-Wing victory.

Grandstands open at 12pm on Friday for qualifying with opening ceremonies at 4pm. The Non-Wing 75 lap feature closes the show. Friday Adult tickets are $30 while youth ages 6-12 are $20.

The richest night in pavement open wheel short track racing is Saturday night November 7 with the OnlyBulls Open Wheel Showdown championship night. Fuel Winged Sprint Cars race around the Bullring for $50,000 to win in a 100-lap feature. Both the Klotz Modifieds and the Larry Trigueiro Memorial for Super Modifieds race in $10,000 to win features. Sunrise Heavy Haul INEX Legends and Sunrise Heavy Haul INEX Bandoleros also race for their Open Wheel Showdown victories.

Numerous drivers will race in both the winged and non-wing action throughout the weekend with Swanson, Santos, Willison and Trainor aiming for a lucrative double header.

The Modified event is the largest in North America for asphalt racing with 75 entries ready to compete. At least eight states and two Canadian provinces are represented, including entries from Alberta, Florida, and Ohio.

One of the largest Super Modified fields on the West Coast in over three decades races in the Larry Trigueiro Memorial. Ohio drivers Tyler Shullick and Mike McVetta and New York’s Tyler Thompson and 2024 winner Otto Sitterly take on the west coast’s best such as 11-time Indianapolis 500 starter Davey Hamilton, current Speed Tour Super Modified points leader Jimmy White of British Columbia, and stalwart Jim Birges of Fresno, Calif.

Grandstands open at 11:30am on Saturday with opening ceremonies at 2pm. The Winged Sprint 100-lap feature closes the show at approx. 7pm. Saturday Adult tickets are $35 while youth ages 6-12 are $20.

RV reservations are available at www.OpenWheelShowdown.com and include 2 general admission tickets per night of the event. Race fan parking is free.

Speed Sport returns as the media partner with live coverage of the race on both Speed Sport 1 and Speed Sport 2, with a full broadcast schedule to be announced.

Thursday is the optional practice day racing action heats up on November 6 and 7.
