A handwritten note from a former student who’s now headed off to college. Knowing that the lessons, encouragement, and opportunities to perform made an impact far beyond just learning guitar means more to me than they probably realize.

This is why I started DC Guitar Studio. It was never just about teaching someone how to play an instrument. It’s about building confidence, giving students opportunities, and hopefully making a difference that sticks with them long after their lessons are over.

Joy Kate came to DC Guitar Studio after losing confidence and nearly losing her love for music. Through lessons, performances, encouragement, and hard work, she rediscovered that passion.

Today she's beginning medical school while continuing to write songs and perform.

Robby brings over 30 years of teaching experience in public education and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in Music Industry and Percussion Studies from The University of Southern Mississippi. Now retired from public education, he is excited to continue sharing his passion for music through private piano lessons.
