In January 2020, my wife told me she was done with the church.

At the time, I was a seminary teacher. I had spent 20 years in religious education, embedded in a system that handed people a pre-written script about their bodies, their desires, and their worth.

But as we navigated the terrifying and exhausting grief of faith deconstruction together, my eyes were opened. I saw firsthand how those rigid scripts and purity culture messaging breed shame, moral incongruence, and intimacy issues.

So, I shifted from teaching the script to helping people rewrite it.

Now, as an LCSW and AASECT Certified S*x Therapist, I spend my days helping individuals and couples uproot religious trauma, reject fear-based labels, and build authentic intimacy rooted in emotional safety and actual pleasure.
