Positive Paths will help remove barriers and obstacles that prevent East Valley women from succeeding.

Positive Paths is dedicated to supporting Arizona's East Valley women through college scholarships and mentoring. Every woman deserves a proper education but many women are at a severe disadvantage due to life circumstances. Educational scholarships are awarded to women to address a variety of barriers that inhibit their success, including poverty, violence and/or trauma, substance abuse, illiteracy, and economic dependency. Education and mentoring for women creates opportunities for entire families to improve their quality of life and ensures economic independence by distributing the resources needed to improve education, skill sets and employment prospects. In addition to scholarship funds, recipients are provided a mentor, developing supportive relationships that promote the scholar's professional development. Mentors assist scholars to overcome their individualized and specific barriers that are inhibiting their success. Furthermore, Positive Paths offers a women's business clothing boutique, providing access to appropriate career attire for the workforce. Additional case management services link scholars and their immediate family members to additional community resources and services that will enhance their over-all well-being and success. From 2015 to the present date, Positive Paths has provided 29 women scholarships and mentors, providing the support and assistance needed to ensure academic success. Every woman served by Positive Paths has experienced significant barriers impeding their financial success such as domestic violence, sexual assault, death of a spouse, addiction, teen pregnancy, poverty, and other trauma. All of the women served have income below the poverty level despite the fact that over 85% of them are employed.

What an extraordinary morning celebrating community, resilience, and the unstoppable power of education! 💫 Thank you to our keynote speaker Judy Robles, who delivered an unforgettable message on perseverance and finding the inner strength to push through any obstacle. Every moment reminded us why we do what we do.

And thank you to everyone who makes Positive Paths a place where dreams turn into degrees and futures are rewritten.

Together, we see firsthand how education and community transform women and their families.💜

Nearly half of Positive Paths scholars are raising children, many as single parents. For them, earning a degree happens right alongside caregiving, managing a home, and overcoming daily financial and real-life hurdles.

Together with financial support and our unique one-on-one mentoring program, Positive Paths scholars successfully achieve degrees and certifications that build stronger families and communities.

When we talk about the mission of Positive Paths, we often speak about breaking cycles.💫 We have seen firsthand the power of generational impact. One of our scholars inspired her daughter, who is now a scholar recipient with us today. Alongside multiple sets of sister scholars and even mother daughter scholars, they are living proof of how encouraging one woman creates a chain reaction that transforms an entire family.

Amanda joined Positive Paths determined to become an educator and transform her life, her family’s future, and her community. Once a struggling reader, her journey came full circle as she worked her way from overnight shifts at Walmart to earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from ASU. Today, as a teacher and a Positive Paths mentor, she inspires others to "rise above and succeed."

The numbers speak for themselves, but the stories behind them change everything. ✨

Here is what happens when women are backed by mentorship, community, and resource support:

1️⃣ 4x Household Impact: Every scholar uplifts 4 people in her immediate household, raising expectations and opportunities at home.

2️⃣ 75% Graduation Rate: Outperforming every public university in Arizona over our 14-year history

3️⃣ 57% First-Gen: More than half of our scholars are making history as the first in their families to step onto a college campus.

First-generation scholars don't just earn a degree—they rewrite the narrative for their entire family line and strengthen their community.

Help us keep these numbers growing. Visit the link in our bio to get involved today!
