Our Story | Calvary First
The church is a living entity and just like the nature of all living things, it grows and changes over time. In the life of every church there are great triumphs and moments of frustration and regret. We have encountered them all, yet God has been gracious and faithful and has preserved Calvary First. She has seen multiple merges with other congregations, uniting for the Kingdom cause. She has weathered her share of storms and has come through them better prepared for the future. With great appreciation for those who have built the history that brought us here, we anticipate the joys of continuing their efforts and reaching a new generation. This is only a glimpse of who we are and where we are going.

When you draw closer to God, His light reveals what doesn't belong in your life. The question becomes: will you keep moving toward Him, or step back? Getting closer to God means being willing to see—and change—the things we've overlooked.
Everything in creation obeys God immediately—except us. When God speaks, light travels at 133,000 miles per hour. When Jesus commands the storm, it instantly obeys. So why do we hesitate to surrender to His will? It's time to take the things of God as seriously as creation does.

What if God is not ignoring your prayer? What if He is letting something die on purpose? Sometimes the thing we are fighting hardest to keep alive is the very thing standing between us and the life God has planned. Stop resuscitating it. Trust Him with the resurrection.
