COMPANY BACKGROUND INFO
Processing Partners, Inc. uses the ACI Worldwide/Pay.On Platform as our primary PCI Level 1 gateway technology. Our Gateway Technology is one of the largest independent payment gateway routing networks in the world. As of now, we have close to 200 bank acquirers and over 50 alternative payment partners connected to the ACI / PAY.ON gateway. It takes only one single technic
Building a payment gateway takes years. Renting one takes a day.
For platforms and PSPs, the build vs buy math rarely favours building. Acquirer integrations, PCI DSS Level 1 compliance, tokenization, reporting, fraud tooling. Each one is its own multi-year project before a single transaction runs.
PUMA is available white label. Your brand on the front, our infrastructure behind it: 400+ bank acquirer connections, 300+ alternative payment methods, smart transaction routing, and a single API with integration measured in hours, not quarters.
You keep the merchant relationship. We keep the plumbing running.

How does your system find out a payment succeeded?
Option one: ask, over and over. Every minute, your server asks the gateway whether anything changed. Thousands of questions, almost all answered "no." This is polling, and it is wasteful.
Option two: get told. You give the gateway a URL. When something happens, a payment settles, a refund clears, a chargeback lands, the gateway posts the details to that URL within seconds.
That is a webhook. Your system stops asking and starts listening.
The practical result: order confirmations, fulfilment, and accounting all update in near real time instead of on a timer.
Not every sale happens on a checkout page.
Some close over the phone. Some close in an email thread. Some close in a chat window at 11pm. None of those need a developer.
A payment link is a URL that collects a payment. Generate it in PUMA, send it, get paid. The customer taps it, pays on a secure hosted page, and the transaction lands in the same reporting as everything else.
No integration work. No new checkout flow. No code.
It is the shortest distance between "yes, I'll take it" and money in the account.
Your checkout should work the way your customers pay.
Apple Pay through the PUMA gateway: one tap, no card entry, no forms. Tokenized by default, which means less fraud exposure and fewer declines from stale card details.
Adding it is a configuration change, not a project.
Why do good transactions get declined?
Most false declines aren't fraud calls. They're routing problems: the acquirer is in the wrong region, doesn't like the card type, or flags a currency mismatch. The issuer sees something unfamiliar and says no.
Fixes that work: local acquiring in the cardholder's region, network tokens instead of raw PANs, and smart transaction routing through a second acquirer.
None of this requires the customer to do anything differently.
One acquirer means one point of failure.
When a transaction declines, smart transaction routing automatically retries it through an alternate acquirer based on rules you define — issuer region, card type, currency. The customer never sees it happen. They just see "approved."
Our PUMA gateway connects to 400+ bank acquirers across 160+ countries, so there's almost always a better route available.
Recovered declines are pure margin.
Payment integrations shouldn't take a quarter.
Our PUMA gateway runs on a single API with a 24-hour integration time. Behind that one connection: 400+ bank acquirers, 300+ alternative payment methods, coverage across 160+ countries.
One integration. Every market you want to sell in.
